  He rubs his head in wet red earth each morning, when mist still hangs in the air. The sparse, thin fur that coats his snout is eternally dyed a copperlike hue, and makes a crest up the forehead, though some days it's more spattered along one side than the other, making a half-mask of clay. The hair that shields his stout, arch-shaped body from the elements evokes thoughts of dust stirred up by the impact of heavy footsteps, varying shades of grey ticked with white at the ends, almost sooty. It looks like if you brushed against it, particulate would fall. The rest of the creature's hide is unremarkable, though bristly hairs and dirty, varied colors give helpful camouflage.
