• Appearance

  The young feline hybrid stood only 5'5", and the slight chub around his middle and face combined with his meager height only made him look younger. Two pricked ears sprouted out of a curly mess of red and white hair, and a rusty coloured red tail trailed behind him; these were the only obvious traits of the Calico cat he had. If he opened his mouth, though, you could see that his teeth were just a tad sharper than the average human's. Ben's clothing choices never really matched; he owned a variety of cardigans, sweaters, and undershirts, which he never seemed to colour coordinate. His pants were always the same, as they had been for years now; patched and faded trousers, with deep pockets that occasionally would acquire holes. He had the same predicament with shoes, owning only one pair, but they were comfy and in good condition so he was not in a hurry to buy a new pair. The pair of slippers were made from red canvas, with a faded yellow splotch on each toe, and one of them sported a patch on the inner side.

• Back Story

  Benji, as his mother had nicknamed him, came from a small family farm. His room there was still intact; a small twin-sized bed up in the attic, with one rounded window, a dresser, a desk, and a mirror. Ben was a born and raised country man, with a hint of a western drawl and the lightly tanned skin of a farmer. He lacked the sturdiness of a farmer, though, instead having a light and nimble body made for climbing. Ben was adopted by a married couple of humans, and was raised as their adoptive son along side his human brothers. There was no way of hiding that Benji was adopted; the ears, tail, and feline mannerism gave it away from the get-go. But they accepted Benjamin, and loved him, and they were the only family he had known. Neither he nor his family know why Ben was abandoned; he was left outside to freeze as an infant, not even clothed or blanketed, as if someone did not want to claim the hybrid creature as their spawn.
  
  The young feline hybrid never attended school; as such, he is illiterate, and only educated in things he has experienced himself. That would include farm work, animals, cooking, housekeeping, and how to mend clothing. Not much in the ways of future careers, but that was perfectly fine with him. He was the only one of his brothers to move away from home once he reached of age, and it was on his own terms, telling his family he would be back to visit with stories to tell.
