Endless Entertainment
You move past the door to the Library and make your way towards the double doors into the so-called Halls of the Everyday. You open the door and find yourself confronted by a large dining hall, somehow too large, somehow feeling as if it were bigger on the inside. You see first and foremost a long central table, the object seeming to stretch endlessly down the room.
Various center pieces dot the table, from ice sculptures to carefully constructed flower arrangements, and each center piece has a distinct musical element. Ice carvings were the dominant feature, predominantly carved into all manner of musically inclined shapes.
The musical imagery seems almost as endless as the table, as endless as the potentialities that music comes to represent, and you feel for a moment overwhelmed.
You approach the table, and feel the pull of the Master’s thoughstream, that familiar drumline sounding in your head, and you know that ahead lies music far more refined that that simple four-beat drum. The drums fade, and you hear the vaguest strains of music, indistinct notes that you recognize, then seem to flit away. You know that if you take a seat at the table, you will enter the thoughtstream. Do you? YES. NO.
Moving away from the central table, you find that the walls of the endless hall are dotted with innumerable framed images. Many of them move, as if they were telivision screens, or else specatacularly enchanted, and within those innumerable images you can see blips of famous pop culture figures. Heroes and villains, masters and monsters, devils and doctors, and beings from an infinite multiverse all dance from frame to frame. You know that if you should stop to properly view any of these images you will be drawn into the thoughtstream. Do you? YES. NO.
