  Discord is the only one of her kind. That's because she's a hybrid of two different species that normally would not create offspring or even breed with each other: A RaTh and a Nyght Wyvern. A RaTh is basically a raptor with feathered wings, and a Nyght Wyvern is a purple, two-legged dragon. It sounds impossible, doesn't it?
  
  Discord gained very few of the special advantages from either of her parents' species. Nyght Wyverns are poisonous and can breate fire, but Discord can't do either of these things. RaThs have amazing feathers, which are as strong as metal and as light as air. Discord doesn't have these. Instead, she has the simple, stunted, dragonish wings of her father, which are not nearly as good for flight. But luckily she didn't recieve many drawbacks from either parent. For example, sunlight is extremely harmful to nyght wyverns, and can kill them in minutes, but Discord can go out in the sun as long as she likes without any ill effects.

• Appearance

  Discord is built like your typical raptor dinosaur, but she stands more upright than one when at rest. In this pose she is tall enough to look a nine-year-old in the eye, but when she needs to walk fast or run, she leans forward, becoming much shorter, and only barely clearing 4 feet at the top of her head. She always stands on just her hind legs, leaving her front limbs free to pick things up. Her tail is long and tapering, and is usually carried at a jaunty angle.
  
  Her wings are part of her front arms, like a bat. They have two fingers forming the actual wing, and three that are part of her hand. When fully extended, her wings measure about 10 feet from tip to tip. Her left wing is slightly atrophied from a magic burn she recieved when traveling with her mother in Erronia. Magic burns are similar to normal burns, but are gotten by touching magic, not by touching fire. The injury used to be much worse however, and at least now she can fly.
  
  Her body is covered in small scales, which are mainly purple. She has a dark purple blaze marking on the back of her neck. Her hands, legs, and the edges of her wings are all dark purple, and every patch of dark purple on her body is outlined in white. Her eyes are bright red with slit pupils, and the whites of her eyes are yellow.

• Personality

  Discord was teased and tormented from the day she hatched, and this has given her a bitter, unkind personality. She is not very outgoing, and will never be the first to speak when meeting someone new. Anger is her most common emotion, but it usually passes pretty quickly. She normally won't speak unkindly to anyone unless insulted or teased first, but if she is in a bad mood she will verbally slice up all who cross her path. Some would call her a jerk at these times, and indeed she is.
  
  She prefers to be alone whenever possible. When she has had enough of being in a group, she will go and find a hiding place so that others can't find her. She is very defensive of these hiding places, and if they are discovered she gets very upset.
