At further inspection
Although able to modify his looks in various ways, there are some things that always remain the same about Erbrow - either he is unable to change them or chooses not to, even though they are quite eye catching. One of such traits is his pitch black skin with its strange silver gleam. It is smooth, but quite cold to the touch often and it is not unusual that Erbrow 'wears' thin silver chain mail underneath his clothes, but in truth those are scales on his chest and most of stomach.
His eyes remain light and bright emerald tone, indeed like the gems itself. They gleam in his dark face, eyebrows arched like wings of birds over them. Eyes are deep in set and slightly narrow, when compared rest of the features, with piercing gaze. Erbrow's human face is like that of ancient Egyptian or Nubian. With high forehead and cheekbones, but overall somewhat oval, with 'heavy' chin and peculiar nose shape that seems to flare out in nostrils. Mouth is not big, not big lipped, perfectly outlined and therefor a little feminine. However it may be, he looks somehow regal and often intimidating.
The man's impressive height could play a part in it, too, though. Even though he adjusts it, Erbrow always remains taller than the most of people around him, the well muscled body towering over them. Yet, his face is often lit with bright, sharp-toothed smile. It can be both the epitome of friendliness and a tool of intimidation. With all this, people are not sure how to perceive him, especially when he shaves his hair, so looking even further alike to the ancient people. Other times, his strange hair that grows black at roots and then later becomes silvery gray and even white, especially when moonlight falls on them, is gathered in middle of his head and gathered in short pony tail.
In clothes, Erbrow prefers black and silver, leather and chains. Simple, yet with some intricate details. Long coats, belts across the chest, on arms, collars, rather heavy boots - all those can be found in his wardrobe. On occasion, people wonder how he manages to be dressed after shifting and that mystery hasn't really been replied - maybe most of his clothes are made from himself?
But that is enough for his human form, even though he spends plenty of time in it. His true form is of medium sized male dragon with glimmering black scales that turn silver on chest and stomach. Few silver splotches can be found on his forehead. Erbrow is well muscled, but certainly not the strongest one out there. However, he more than makes up for it with his speed and agility, being one of the most virtuous flyers alive today. His wings are his pride and joy, with large span and powerful muscles. Even though he can make them disappear in human shape, the man decides to keep them usually and even then they are majestically big.
As all dragons (of his Clan at least), between his wings there is patch of soft fur, maybe feathers, the same changing color as his hair. In it is hidden pair of athropied wings, half of thin, practically see-trough membrane and some feathers. If a person is riding on his back, they can settle in there as wings will keep them safe and warm, enclosing around.
Down his spine, there is small ridge, it runs down to the end of his tail that flares out in bigger spike which serves more into the flight than fight. There is also short nose ridge, running up to his forehead and few spikes on his head.
As a dragon, his mind does not work exactly like that of humans. Erbrow's decisions and motives are often shrouded in mystery, but never they are without a good base. However, even his dragon peers don't always understand him and he is deemed the strange one in his Clan which worries his father, as Erbrow happens to be next in line to inherit Clan Leader place.
Although he often manages to surprise the elderly in pleasant manner, with wise and far-sighted suggestions, his daredevil and wanderer's ways are not appreciated. But he can't help it. Staying home and reading, reading, reading ancient texts are not for him. Erbrow believes that it is time to stop relying on ancient knowledge only and return to gathering and using it. He observes the humanoids, both on Island and on Mainland, studies their ways of life nowadays, the up-and-downsides of each lifestyle. He is thirsty for knowledge, new facts and information, not just the old one that is already covered with moss. More than most, he realizes how the dragon race is on edge of extinction and that if they are not pulled out of their calm, resigned states, they have little chance to remain on this world for centuries to come.
He is fighting against this threat in various ways, like trying to pull out more dragons in actual activity, organizing various gatherings, collecting rumors where some other dragon colonies could exist on the Mainland - to bring in fresh blood and raise the count of remaining dragons. He tempts fellow dragons to come on flight adventures with him, promising various treasures - both in form of knowledge and gold, precious gems. Erbrow honestly talks with elders how less and less dragonlings hatch every century, has even tried being a match maker in his typically playful style. Anything to just wake them all up.
Being an energetic and determined individual, Erbrow is willing to search this world and few next to avoid this fate. He is not yet tired by the doubtful looks everyone give him, he is not yet drained by the fruitless search, how his words do not truly reach the mind of fellow dragons. He believes he will never run out of this energy, maybe it is true, who knows... But in a way, he wishes there would be someone who would share his ideals and ideas next to him.
However, most don't see what he is working for or why and thinks he simply has too much energy and likes to stir things up out of having no interest to do something 'true', such as studying the ancient texts. Indeed, Erbrow doesn't leave an impression of very serious individual. Gifted with strange, but very active humor sense, he jokes and plays around most of the time, no matter what is actually going on his mind. Humanoids often feel threatened by his jokes, but he tends to mean them no harm (if they are not evil) and his sense of superiority over them is much lower than that of others of his kind.
Also, he loves flirting. Erbrow will never get tired of paying compliments and spending time in company of beautiful ladies. The race of the girls does not matter, they all are gorgeous and flirt-worthy to him. This absolute lady man's life style also thickly covers his true nature and those who know him as Crown Prince, often think he is just an easy going, spoiled man who is tired of his duties. However, quite unexpectedly, he does not really go very far with the ladies, even if they succumb to his rather strong charms. Although there could be cat-fights over him, to none he has actually promised something or even spent a night with. In the end, he remains a gallant gentleman.
It is hard to determine if he is 'good' or 'evil' towards humanoids in general sense, maybe one of the 'neutral' alignments would fit the best. He uses them as entertainment and ways to achieve various successes, but at the same time, does not discard those of 'friend' kind, even if it would be the easiest way in that situation. His loyalty trait remains awake even for them.
Erbrow makes a fear-striking foe. Far more cunning and wise than it appears, he will tear his enemies down until there is nothing but rubble remaining. However, making an enemy out of him to such level is not particularly easy, but it is not suggested to get on this dragon's bad side in any way, as it could hurt badly, in many different ways and when it is least expected.
To most humanoids, little to nothing is known about Erbrow's past. He does not particularly hide it, but neither does he share it, just like he does not share his burdens with anyone.
But the brief version of what is known to dragons of the same Clan is that he was not hatched as the Crown Prince. No, he was second one, with two more after him - a female and male. Since early days, Erbrow liked to go on wild adventures and clearly displayed his curious and troublesome side. He was a bright student when focused, but usually headache to everyone. Now, the Crown Prince... He was perfect and regal, but all siblings, despite their differences were closely bound. Not just once, Erbrow was busted out of trouble by his elder brother (and sometimes even one of younger siblings).
He was in his early teens when the Plague came. It killed and crippled many dragons, starting from just hatched dragonlings to young adults. His eldest brother fell victim to the illness that dried him up in few days until there was nothing but frail bone and crumbling skin left. So did his youngest siblings, but they recovered, although the female was left with one weak wing and male's body never grew much after that. Only he, both blessed and cursed, remained practically unaffected, as his family fell apart at the loss of Crown Prince and suffering of two other hatchlings.
No one knows how it tore, killed Erbrow inside when he earned the title of Crown Prince, when he looked at his youngest, never to grow as mighty and majestic as they deserved to be. He asked, begged the Gods why, what had he done 'right' and they 'wrong', but never received the answer. And so, he took his duties, so unexpected and unwanted, and first he saw how the population was cut in nearly half after the Plague. Many dragons left their Clans or decided to never mate again, so they wouldn't have to bear the loss of loosing children again. And so, the dragons retreated deeper in their caves, even less trusty of other Clans, now putting their minds only in the ancient lore as their true and honest companions.
With this cancer of resignation now he is fighting, to save what can be saved, while struggling with the duties he does not see as his or fit for him.
Much, if not all, has been said in other parts of his profile. Of royal blood, Erbrow is to inherit Shadow Clan's leadership. The same blood gives him the gift of shape shifting that is not gifted to all dragons. It is painful procedure, which is why many do not master it, but with time, the pain lessens and he is able to change him self in various ways quickly and efficiently.
Able to use bow, sword and shield from humanoid weapons, he is quite skilled at them, but not like an elite warrior. His main weapons are his claws, teeth and fire breath. Although in many ways very powerful, the weaknesses Erbrow has cuts him very deeply.
