    Hors: I don't do cylinders. They give me the heebie jeebies. The only thing I'll tolerate are candles in that shape because I don't see them and they're burning a miserable and terrible death.

    Belongings:
    Glasses: His glasses serve as a magic dampener of sorts to prevent freak accidents or usage of his magic. Currently he is able to use his teleportation magic with his glasses on, but beyond that he usually takes them off.

    Large leather book: Hors' prized treasure. The book contains maps and sketches of the places he has been to, as well as documentation of the many things he has encountered, as well as written communication between him and his mentor. Whatever is written appears in the other book it is linked to. The images in the book can be drawn out by Hors to teleport to the actual places he had 'bookmarked' for quick travel. Currently in the possession of Gibbit

    Identical leather book: The book that his mentor held, whatever is written in there appears in Hors' book.

    Notebook: Hors uses this to write down small notes when he's not with his big book. It is just a normal notebook.

    Quill: Never runs out of ink, a gift from a friend.

    Nightmare trinket: A gift from Ivian, supposed to ward off nightmares. It is in the shape of a screaming man in a fetal position. Currently in the hands of Gibbit.

  • History

    Birth:
    Hors was given to Winsler Abbey as a young baby, presented to the Abbot Wynnstan, an old mole furre, by a servant from his household who refused to give the household of his master. The boy's name was given as Edwin, although a visiting Archbishop from France decided to give him the name Hors D'oeuvre. Hors was then adopted by the abbey's gardener, Garth, a raccoon furre. They lived on the abbey grounds in a shack, seeing to the needs of the plants and teaching the Brothers how to care for the garden.

    Childhood:
    Winsler Abbey was near a town and Hors frequented it with his father, selling flowers that they grew. It wasn't long before they noticed that he was a bright child, learning things quickly and eager to help. The clerics of the abbey took turns tutoring him in reading and writing. His childhood was spent helping his father, reading books and studying in between his spare time. Hors took on his studies voraciously and was reading thick passages fluently by the time he was 8.

    At age 11, Abbot Wynnstan took the young boy to train as his personal steward, impressed by his knack for detail and dedication to his work.

    At 13, Hors experienced the first loss he knew, the death of Garth, who passed away quite suddenly but gradually due to dysentery. While the clerics tried to comfort the young boy, Hors focused on trying to continue selling flowers, and tending to the garden, and his duties as a steward to hide his grief. By then he frequented the markets in the morning, selling flowers.

    Without his father's presence, the other boys of the village picked on him. Hors having spent so much time around older men was different from them, far more learned and a lot less buff. Hors spent most of the time ignoring them, focusing on his duties. Abbot Wynnstan served as the boy's own mentor, guiding him, behaving as a father-figure, guiding the young feline into theological studies.

    The incident
    It was a fine summer's day when Hors had finished his morning market rounds and was heading back to the abbey. He had immersed himself in his work. Along the way back, there were the usual group of boys, 4 large and burly teens, who taunted him for his lack of a father and being unwanted by his family. Something in Hors snapped that day.

    From what Abbot Wynnstan listed down as the official records, the boy was found kneeling in the ground, dazed. There were dismembered body parts around him, sliced off neatly as if it was done by a sharp knife. Hors himself was untouched but covered in blood from the others. The cart itself had been sliced up, with parts lying all over the place. For many days later, he was unresponsive as a person, eating only when commanded to. The town watch searched for a master swordsman but they never found him.

    During that time, the abbot called in many healers to treat the boy, there were so many, that some said there were magi among them.

    Abbot Wynnstan relinquished his position as the abbot later that year, to become a parish priest in a remote town, far away from Winsler Abbey. The reason he gave was that there were far too many bad memories for Hors and he wanted to help the boy. Indeed, being away from the Abbey caused Hors to come out from his self imposed shell. Eventually he was back to his own bustling self, helping Wynnstan with his duties.

    Late teenage years
    When he was 14, Hors found himself mysteriously waking up in different locations all over the church, whether it was the rafters, the roof, or the belfry. It was then Wynnstan told him that Hors wielded magic, and that he had little control over them. As the mole was no mage, he presented Hors with his glasses.

    For four years, Hors studied dutifully under Wynnstan, serving as a priest to the local community. He was kind and the townspeople loved him. On his 18th birthday, his mentor instructed him to travel the world, to tell him of its sights for the mole had grown old, and could not travel further than the gates of the town. To aid him on his task, he provided Hors with a book, which would serve as their method of communication, and as a way Hors could show the mole the world. He left and kept in constant communication with his mentor.

    Gryffehold
    After a few years of travelling and communicating, Hors settled down in a town called Gryffehold where he served as their librarian. He made many friends there, one of them a medallion genie Snipe and where he was courted by a woman named Maidia.
    It was during this time where communications between him and Wynnstan creased. Travelling back, he found his mentor had finally succumbed to old age. Once he helped the new priest to the town to settle in, Hors gathered what little belongings he had and left to stay permanently in Gryffehold. But all good things had to come to an end. One day the town vanished and Hors needed to find a new home.

    Peddler's Hollow
    At the moment, Hors resides in Peddler's Hollow, serving as the librarian to the Mages' Guild. There he has formed close bonds with two individuals, Ivian and Gibbit. To Hors, the two of them are like brothers and he would do much for them. Thanks to Eden, Hors has discovered his heritage. What that means remains to be seen. He has adopted 3 pups, Alterion, Talasi and Otori as his children and is in a relationship with Vallahd.


    Etla
    With Alterion disowned and Talasi missing, Hors moved with Vallahd and Otori to Etla where he currently serves as the librarian.
    He's married to Vallahd.

    Spatial magic:
    Hors can capture the spatial essence of any object or area within his magic, the number of preps dependent on the size. His magic clones an image of it that he can manipulate with his fingers.

    Repair and healing:
    Hors is capable of repairing things by removing the space between them. The same goes for healing wounds but his heals would feel a lot more painful than the wound itself. Think of it like alcohol on an open wound level.

    Teleporting:
    Details are required but need not be complete. A certain level of uncertainty is required for his magic to work. He can never know all the details of an area for certain, as well as how it changes. As such his magic is able to work.

    Space manipulation:
    Hors is capable of manipulating space for space can be represented in momentum space. What his magic does converts the spatial data via something similar to a Fourier transform. From there, his magic allows him to manipulate the eigenvalues, allowing him to manipulate space. Currently this takes some of his energy.

    What can be done:
    Effortlessly:
    - Teleportation within a town based on memory, with 1 person / object the size of 1 person.
    - Teleporting objects one after another to a fixed point within sight.
    - Teleporting objects into 8 different parts without focus.

    Some focus needed:
    - Teleporting objects larger than a person.
    - Creation of fire and a light ball via arcane magic.
    - Warp space in on itself such that it curves away from him in the form of a shield. Light is affected as well.
