Stellvira Hamuta

Stellvira is a six foot, curvaceous, slightly plump female. She has fuzzy, white, long ears that have black stripes on them. They are about seven inches long. Her tail is about three feet long in her humanoid form, and is round with short fur. It is white with black bands. The tail alone is about 1 ½ inches in diameter, but with the fur, it appears to have a circumference of 2 ¼ inches. Her face is around, with rounded, slightly arched eye brows that match her hair. Stell has round, sky blue eyes, and a button nose. She has strawberry blonde hair, which reaches down to about two inches above her tail. None of Stell's facial features really stand out all that much, as she does not wear make up to accentuate them.

Other than her tail and ears, Stell looks very plain. Her face is starting to give in to aging, and stress has taken its toll under her eyes. Stell's body, while smoother than her face, still has its flaws. Stretchmarks from pregnancy are apparent around her waistline, arms, and thighs. Her skin also has its patches of discoloration here and there. The woman's feet look mildly weathered; like most of her kind, Stell does not wear shoes for most of the year because their feet are protected by paw pads.

- Observe differences (chemical, structural, etc.) between Earth and Havoruse flora.
- Learn about habits of Earth flora
- See if cross-breeding between smaller plants of different planets is possible


■ Long-term
- Grow flora from Havoruse alongside Earth flora in a controlled environment.
- Cross-breed plants for new medicinal properties.

■ Portals - opens portals to other realms / planets / places. Useless in combat because of how long they take. The only thing they're good for is long distance traveling. They are either circular or ovular in shape and are white in color, illuminating the area nearby. Portals are not irritating to the eyes unless looked at directly for a period of time.
Cool down: Cannot use this again for 4.5 hours. An individual just simply CANNOT open another portal until this amount of time has passed (kind of like a male's refractory period).
Total time: Each one takes 10-20 minutes to open.
Side effects:

• Very taxing on energy. Like, she will want to sleep after opening it up. Sometimes she does.
• Dizziness/nausea/confusion upon going through and arriving if individual is not used to portal travel.

Notes:

• Can only open up to places the user has been, unless it messes up.
• They can mess up and open up to somewhere the individual did not intend to travel, but the place has to have breathable oxygen. This is a less common occurrence when portals fail. Typically when portals mess up, they just open up to right where they were opened. Basically, someone will walk in and find his/herself where they just were.
• Intentional opening of a portal to a place the user has never been takes months of research.
• Can only be opened as far as the user's arms can reach. Easier to do closer to the user.

■ Shapeshifting - shifts the user's shape into that of another creature.
Forms:

• Lesser lumivone: closest animal relative of her race (the chimpanzee of her kind, for a comparison). It's the size of a small household cat (around Singapura sized). It's a quick little critter that climbs, granted she's overweight in this form, too, so it's a bit slower than an average one of its kind.
• Human disguise

Cool down: 10 minutes.
Total time: Her small critter form takes 10 seconds to complete transformation. Human disguise takes about 3 seconds.
Side effects:

• Drains some energy
• Using more than 4 times in an hour can lead to heart problems such as a heart attack.
• Adrenaline rush. Bones break to take on this new form. Pain tolerance of the body becomes much higher during transformation.

Notes:

• Can have bad effects on fetus if used while pregnant (depending on the form -- forms that are closer to her race's anatomy, such as human, would have little to no effect)! Severe deformities, death. Can be safely used until 4 months of pregnancy.
• Cannot communicate beyond animal noises while in the form of an animal due to having different vocal cords.

■ Night vision - Allows for slightly better vision in the dark.
Cool down: N/A
Total time: Takes about 10 seconds for eyes to adjust when dealing with a sudden change from light to dark.
Side effects:

• She likes to stay in areas of lower light because the sun is much brighter on Earth than it is on her own planet. Her eyes aren't used to it and it can agitate her eyes.

Notes:

• Her night vision is biological, not from mutation, implants, enhancements, etc.
• It requires a source of light to work, such as the moon. This is similar to how night vision works for Earth animals, though Lumivones are more adapted to being able to see both during the day and at night.

■ Strengths:

• Climbing: Stell climbs surprisingly well for someone of her weight because members of her species are natural born climbers. Climbing is more difficult while disguised as a human because she doesn't have her species' anatomy that's built for climbing.
• Gardening/Botany: She's a botanist/xenobotanist. It's sort of a prerequisite to be good with plants. She knows the poisons of plants from her own planet and a basic knowledge of flora from Earth, but is quick to learn.
• Cleaning: After a few kids, she's become pretty damn good at this.
• Quick learner: Usually. Slower to learn languages.

■ Weaknesses:

• Language barrier: Stell can barely speak English. At first, it's hard to communicate verbally with her.
• Ditzy: She seems like an idiot, but that's probably because she knows nothing of Earth's customs, alphabets, number systems, etc. She's by no means an stupid, but isn't the brightest, either. Sometimes lacks common sense.
• What's combat?: She really doesn't have any combat skill. At all. She can throw punches and kicks and wrestle a bit, but besides that, she's no good without the aid of claws and teeth from being shapeshifted.
• Immune system: Her planet does not have the same illnesses. Her immune system is not built to fight Earth illnesses (Think: settlers bringing their illnesses to native populations).
