When people need to give quick updates on themselves that they want to make sure their rp partners see, they could make a quick journal entry (maybe with a word limit so people don't start making this LiveJournal) on their OOC user page, instead of posting an OOC entry on one or all of their characters (which seems rather tedious). Feel free to delete this if someone's already suggested it. :p

Status updates have already been suggested before and Kim brought up some points on why it would be hard to implement:
