I'm not actually sure where to put this at all, but I figured out last night that you could use hovertext in the profiles. The code is [ acronym=Hover goes here]Text goes here[/acronym]. Just take the space out.
This could be added to the BBcode formatting post, cause I mean. I works! Though that would be entirely up to Kim, right? I figured I'd bring it up since it's helfpul for hiding text without using the spoilers. Make it a little harder to find! Or if you want to cram information into a single area. I did for the Race: area of my profile, cause dropdown was making that weird space and I wanted it to look nice.

Huh! I honestly did not know this was possible. I guess we'll have to look into adding some styling so that people will know where to hover their mouse to get more info.
Well something that someone could do is color them, use whatever text color that is similar to links, depending on the template used. They could try to click on it then would see it hover. Is there ways to make edits to bbcode so that it has alternate functions? Like if you clicked on a bit of text that was hovertext, could you make it pop up lik eif you actually hovered on it?
Just popping in to say, as someone who loves hiding info within words within paragraphs within boxes... and wrapping it up in a riddle for people to find, and then making it so the profile is still clean, I would love this tag if it was set up for site-wide use.

Well it works on threads, pms and in profiles. They all use BBCode.

Although they could, I don't really want to leave usability up to individual people to implement. If we're going to support it enough to put it into the official list of BBCode tags, I'd want to support it enough to provide hover-hints like underlines or color changes where appropriate.

Yeah.. That makes sense. You can customize it, couldn't you? so that doing the acronym tag would cause it to he underlined.

yeah.. I sometimes mention it and nobody really understands what I mean. At least we know it works. I wonder what other BBcode that isnt listed works?
