This is one of those really tiny things, but I think it would be nice if, in the sidebar editor for our group, we could choose whether the universal sidebar should show up when browsing the forum.
I like having it up there on the home, newcomer, help, and lore page, but I don't want it to be there when I'm reading or writing forum posts; it takes up screen real estate, squishes the text down to a tiny column, and generally just doesn't look as good.
Naturally, the workaround is simply to make the sidebar the same for every page, but leave the universal sidebar blank. The drawback is that when you want to edit something, you have to go to each page's sidebar and change it.
So, like I said, not a big deal, but just something that could be improved.

This is an interesting thought, but I am concerned that it would lead to everyone asking to be able to omit their own personal pet section where this is annoying for them.
Since there is indeed already a work-around for this, for the sake of keeping the system really simple to understand, I'm going to leave it as is.
