As tek tek is gone, likely for good, I need a new doll/avatar maker. Now I'm not looking for a bunch of simple doll makers, but rather a single complex doll maker with a crap ton of options similar to tek tek.

So anyone know any suck doll makers that might suit my needs?

From my understanding, it's possible to use Gaia's normal avatar edit feature to 'test' a series of items from compilation threads (like this one on their forums. It may be more of a hassle than it's worth though. I don't think they categorize all the items at once in handy little tabs like Tek Tek did.

I used to use Tek Tek back in high school for creating avatars of my OCs as references. Sad that it's gone.

Thanks to the assistance of other members from this thread, I happen to now use both Azalea's Dolls & Doll Divine (which you do not need to sign up for to use, despite there being a log-in menu at the top of that one)

Hope this helps, even though it's not quite what you're looking for! Tektek was a pretty unique spot on the web; it's a shame it had to be shut down.

I fully endorse HeroMachine, I just pick the template (bottom) option and have at it.

Its hard to create a site like tektek or to find an alternative site for that. But, still you can just check this article about Tektek Alternatives and you may get some from there.

To everyone interested, The guy who MADE tektek has his own site. It's a great site, and they pay artists to submit art and the avatar maker has near limitless customization.
