I happened to read on the forums that you can apparently edit the offical templates for the site. I am currently using Prismatic Arcania for one of my characters and I'd love to edit it to just change the font and style but I am uncertain on how to go about this. Can anyone guide me?

People typically do this by viewing the source of the character's page, locating the link to the stylesheet, and then copying the contents of the stylesheet over.

Awesome! I located it. Now just to self learn CSS.

Thanks a bunch!

Been tinkering with the source code for the template I want to edit, yet for some odd reason the images such as the rainbow divider bars and rainbow icons around my port and next to the main body text are failing to show. I got everything else coming up when I view the custom template on my character yet the rainbow stuff under it, isn't.

I think I am lost again. lol

The URLs to the images are set up relative to the file that the template's original stylesheet is stored in. Since the new stylesheet is not stored in that same folder, you'll need to update the image URLs to be more specific.

Problem is, I am unsure which link they are under. I seem to be having a hard time locating the URLs.

Was never CSS savvy lol. Always understood HTML a little better.

When you view the source to find the CSS file, it's shown as being located here:

http://www.rprepository.com/templates/prismarcana/prismmagic2.3.css

That means all images in the Prismatic Arcana are found in the same folder as the .css file. In this case, that would be http://www.rprepository.com/templates/prismarcana/

downrightside.png then becomes <a href="http://www.rprepository.com/templates/prismarcana/downrightside.png">http://www.rprepository.com/templates/prismarcana/downrightside.png</a>

Ah I see now. I wasn't quite sure if I was copying links found in another file or actually typing in URLs.

I am getting it to work now. This really helps!

Thanks Sanne! You've really helped me out. :D
