I won't pry into why, but I will point out that there is no way to temporarily deactivate it and then reactivate it.
The only way to stop being a user on the RPR (aside from just not logging in again), is by closing your account, which is a permanent action that removes both you and all your hard work from the site, so please do keep that in mind if you're actually just seeking some sort of temporary way to not use the RPR for a while.
