Hello! I am thinking about starting an RP in a similar realm as the 90's Gargoyles cartoon. This would just be a world based on that one, centered around Gargoyles who are human by day, Gargoyles by night instead of turning to stone.
Obviously you could play a Gargoyle, but you would also have the choices of one of the Fae, a human, a hybrid animal, or mechanical construct.
While this is in the same world, using character from the tv series is not allowed. For example, you may not play Goliath, Elisa, or Xanatose. For characters like "Puck" you may play them, but they have to be your own twist of the character, not the exact version used in the show.
Would anyone be interested in an rp like this?

Oh man oh man, I went through a huge Gargoyles phase as a teenager. It was my favorite show for years and years. I'm so glad to see this topic come up. 
Brooklyn was my man. Oh yeah. Heh.

Awesome! I'll write up a short summary on here of what the world is and how the world works for anyone who is interested in joining that hasn't seen the show, with the ability for said world to change if anyone has ideas for it. Then I'll create the rp!
Basic World Background
Set is modern times, so March 2012. You have your cars and technology and anything that is actually available during this day and age. The only difference is, you also have your mythology and magic. Go into the wrong cave, and you could stumble into a different time period or find yourself face to face with an artifact that has the power to change you into a monster.
Science is also rampant, with strange experiments going haywire from time to time. Think of the Scientific elements in this world like the darkness to magic's light, or visa versa.
Characters you can play -
Hybrids - A few years ago one particular scientist got a little too loose with his experiments and started useless the homeless in large cities. The results of these experiments are hybrid creatures usually with humanoid shapes. Usually these creatures are based on a ferocious anime, (panther, griffon, tiger, bear, ect) but it is not impossible for a less predatory DNA base be used. These creatures almost always have wings.
Gargoyles -Remember those stumble-upon spells mentioned earlier? One of them also went array a few years ago, now all Gargoyles turn to humans during the day instead of stone. This also scattered many clans, and some may have lost memories of a life of stone. Many are still adjusting to daily life as a human, while some struggle with life as a "monster" by night.
There are constructs as well - Creatures created with machines and powered by lost souls. Sometimes a construct can have multiple souls/personalities in one "body".
The Fae - Or Fair folk. These are the mythical creatures usually used in Authorian or English Lore. A good example would be the characters from "A Midsummer nights Dream". As before mentioned, if you wish to be one of the Fae you may, just do not blatantly use the personalities in the actual series. (For example you may be Puck, but he has to be your own idea of him. You may not play Owen)
Humans - They are..well, human. These humans can be scientists, Magi, a college student, or even a detective ect.

Hmmm... Lovi might be altered to suit this! Her background hasn't been working out too well for me, but it seems like I can mesh it with this somehow. 
I'm up to do something like this. I was just watching the show the other day on YouTube. Major nostalgia trip lol
I'm... sort of intrigued by this! I wasn't a huge fan of the show, but I still enjoyed it on the days I happened upon it. If I can think up a character to use for it (don't feel too keen on re-adapting one of my own), maybe I could get into this...
By the by, why the constructs? I like a good soul-housing mechanical being, but I don't remember anything like that in the show-- did I miss somethin' like that at some point as a kid?

Ahhh this is a huge case of me getting my phrasings wrong. Coldstone is exactly who I was thinking about with the constructs.
I always wanted a Gargoyle character. That show was so awesome.
I made a gargoyle like two weeks ago. This feels clandestine.

Like I said, I liked the show a good deal, but I wasn't a HUGE fan. Quick, TO THE INTERNET!
Just to let anyone who was still interested know, "Gargoyles" is now also a topic in the 'General' section.
Can I toss in a hyper-paranoid, trigger-happy human? I think it would be an amazing addition to the insanity that will occur. xD Let me know and I'll post asap.
