What is the purpose of the "launch chat" button? What does it do?

It'll launch any thread or PM into a live chat. When somebody posts in it, the posts will appear in real time! Why don't you try it out in the Chat Thread!

Yeppers, it's great for if you have a RP where you're exchanging a lot of posts, and you don't want to have to keep refreshing to see if anything happened. Or for chatting in real time.
Any posts made in the topic chat will be added to the forum, and any posts made in the forum topic will show up in the chat.
