@Connie- Traveling the Kingdom of Elicor you were playing your lyre in the small town in the valley known as Yinmish, a fan comes up to you and buys you a drink. You enjoy the beverage but the rest of the night gets fuzzy. You wake up in a cell, everything exept your lyre is gone including all of your gold and you are alone... Or are you? In the cell across from you you see two dark elves, turning around in your own cell is an unconcious wood elf however it is much too dark to see much else. What do you do?

@Nova- You were one of the best alchemists for the great Queen Drydara, she was using your knollege to teach her warriors how to use Glass Bombs in battle when during a presentation of yours a glass bomb blew up unexpectedly injuring a Drow General and many other warriors and mages, you have been sentenced to life in Underdark Prison. All of your gold was taken as was your home but you know your alchemists kit is still probably in the guards office at the end of this hall. What do you do?

@Minladhiel- Part of being a Druid is visiting other villages. So from your home in the Druidic Village of Earth you travel to the village of air. Their Cheif was kind of like a hippy woman and you wondered why she wasn't strong as stone like your Cheif is but it didn't bother you too much. A few weeks later while approaching the Village of Fire you got lost and decided to ask a Drow for directions. The kind soul offered you a drink and you gladly accepted, how kind of him you think as your vision gets blurry. You just woke up in a mysterious prison cell with a human woman standing near the bars looking across the hall. What do you do?

@Ja'Rees- Unlike the others this is not a suprise to you, you had been a slave her in the Underdark city of Lolthvania since your were born. However after escaping slavery you found peace in the mountains above the city. Captured by the same Drow who found the Druid, you have been brought back to be either exicuted or sold into slaver. Ah well you had a good year on the surface and Ja'Rees the Monk now has many skills Ja'Rees the Slave never did. What do you do?
Nova Steele (played by Taycool500)

What is the lock to my cell like and how often are the guard rounds
Master of Games (played anonymously) Topic Starter

@Nova- It is pretty fine Elven craftsmanship, and you don't have anything to use as lock picks. Two guards come by every ten minutes and change posts about every six hours, the change over seemed to take twenty minutes.

((Maintain Post Order Though :) Me, then Connie, then Nova, then Min, and finally Ja.)
Nova Steele (played by Taycool500)

Ooc ok sorry diddnt know will try too abide rules
Minladhiel Haeren (played by EarlyGrey)

The sensation of the cold stone floor was the first to reach the druid’s senses, and she peeked up at the human female before her. A look of confusion was evident on her face.

Who are you? ...Where are we?” She squeaked, her gentle voice seeming almost strained in the Common tongue. The elf asked the final question mainly for validation; her dread was clear, and she remembered that final mental image of the dark elf from before. 'That's the last time I ever ask one of them for directions.' She thought to herself bitterly.

She pulled herself tentatively to her feet, her tangled mass of long red hair more unkempt than usual, and brushed the front of her robes down nervously. It was then that she realised the absence of her staff from her hand.

M-my staff!” Minladhiel cried in Elven, glancing around the cell for any signs of the wooden object in case she had simply overlooked it, before squinting outside of the cell bars for anything of interest or familiarity.
Jar'ees (played by Rattanee)

Jar'ees had been sitting with his back against the wall of his cell. Hearing the voice of the elf his eyes opened, looking at her with a rather emotionless expression on his face. "Quiet elf... guards will come if you keep being this loud. I don't think it would be a good idea to call attention to the fact we're awake..."

The drow glanced at the others, nodding towards them with his head- "Best wait for them. Maybe one of them has something useful, or knows how to pick a lock." His voice came quiet, and though his common was good, his pronounciation spoke of the fact that he did not use the language often. His eyes scanned the elven woman briefly, concluding she would not be the one to open the locks most likely, then settled on the lock of his cell door once more, eyeing it dubiously.
After a short while, he looked about once more, still sitting, to see if there was anything he missed, anything he could use to open his door, or even just a loose brick in the wall he could use to start a hole in the thing.

Guards Office. Stairwell Up.

Empty Cell. Drow Criminal.

Empty Cell. Empty Cell.

Nova/Ja'Rees. Empty Cell.

Empty Cell. Connie/Min.

Empty Cell. Empty Cell.

Stairwell Down. Deep Gnome.

@Connie- Looking down the hall you see the Guards post station, you notice the sound of crying down the hall and satanic whispering up the hall. Make a Perception check 1D20+Wis.

@Nova- Your knowledge of plant life may or may not be useful here. Their are blood weeds growing through the bricks on the floor and salt moss on the walls. Make an Int Check to see what that may mean, 1D20+Int.

@Min- Your staff is gone but you do have your gold, they must not have checked you as much as they checked the others. Being honest to your DM, on a scale of 1-10, how likely would it be for your character to have lock picks on her?

@Ja'Rees- Checking for loose bricks you find 1D4-1 loose bricks you could possibly use as a weapon.

So what do I find out
Minladhiel Haeren (played by EarlyGrey)

The elf scanned the cell diagonal from hers at the sound of Jar’ees’s voice, her eyes just making out the figure through both sets of bars, sitting in the shadows of his cell. “Great... Another Drow.” She mumbled to herself in elven, although she did regard his comments and glanced towards the other two figures; her displeasure at being in close proximity to two Drow still being evident.

She lowered her gaze, and proceeded to check her pockets; taking note of the pouch of gold coins, and a pouch of objects she had rummaged from the forest floor.

((OOC: It’s very unlikely that Minladhiel would carry any such item; preferring to value trinkets of nature over anything manmade: the exception of course being her garments. So I would have to say 0 to 1 likelihood of her possessing a lock pick; unless a spindly twig or two would suffice as a makeshift one to someone skilled enough in using it.))

Minladhiel lifted a single gold piece from the pouch in her robe’s pocket, and ran her fingers across the shiny surface in disdain. Her staff gone, she looked at the tiny metal object and pondered exactly what use the gold would be to her now; the shiny, hard metal reflecting any light sources there might be around.
Jar'ees (played by Rattanee)

The drow dug out both loose bricks he found, noting their weight, he pondered whether it'd be best to hand one to the elf in the other cell, or hold on to both. Nevertheless, he checked whether they'd fit through the bars at all.

Turning towards Nova, he'd furrow a brow slightly. "I dare assume you'd also prefer to get out of here. Got anything useful with you?"

That being said it just occurred to Jar'ees to check his own pockets. Though he never really carried much around with himself.

@Connie- Until you get back I'm gonna have you just sit down and try to get some sleep. You may have a slight head ache from being tossed in here but rejoin us at anytime!

@Nova- These two ingredients mixed with a bit of saliva and a metallic substance... Perhaps a gold piece? May create some corrosive enzyme. You could melt through the bars if you mash these substanance with a brick or herb grinder, place it on a gold coin, and spit on the concoction. Then maybe just maybe you could melt the metal around the lock enough to just open the door! Do you tell the others this? And where are you gonna find a gold coin in a prison cell??

@Min- There isn't any light source near by, two torches at one end of the hall and two torches at the other end of the hall, that's about it. As much anger as your harboring towards the Drow the words of the Wind Chiefs words echo in your mind, "even our enemies believe that they are good... Whether they are forced into doing bad by another or are doing what they think is right there is never a need to kill our foes let alone hate them for our own arrogance." You smile as you remember the equally wise thoughs of what the Earth Chief would do.... "Turn into a rat, get through the bars, then beat the hell out of your captors!" You need you staff to cast spells but not to do your once a day animal transformation.

@Ja'Rees- Out of courner of your hearing you hear the surface elf speak words of discontent with you in the Elven tongue. You yourself as well as this other Drow in your cell speak Common: the language of the surface, Elven: the language of the Drow Nobles, and Undercommon: the Language of the Slavers and Slaves down here. As for the bricks, one is a tad heavier then the other. You turn the lighter brick over and hidden inside is a dagger broken in half into a shiv ;) both bricks can fit through the cell doors but it is a tight squeeze.... The shiv on the other hand fits through easily.
Kiku (played by purplepandowdy)

Since it seems her cellmates are already up and about, Connie sits up after a failed attempt at sleeping, and decides to talk to the others, "Who are you people?" ((OOC: Sorry again for not checking up on RPR))
Nova Steele (played by Taycool500)

"Ok people i might have a idea to get us out of here but I'm missing some stuff I need for the plan I need something metal like a coin or a necklace or ring just has to be metal and something to mash it together with like a rock or a brick" nova exclaims excitedly an idea forming in his head. " oh and sorry for not introducing myself The names Nova it's nice to meet you all but I believe at the moment there are more pressing matters I imagine the rest of you don't have the foggiest clue what's happening either". Nova says while collecting the plants.
Minladhiel Haeren (played by EarlyGrey)

The elf turned to the bard in the same cell as herself, and observed the woman curiously. Indeed she seemed unlikely to pose a threat, so the Druid gave her a tiny smile. "Minladhiel." She uttered the name fluently, the vowels rolling from her tongue in her obvious elven accent. "Or you may just call me Min." Minladhiel added in her strained Common.

Her attention returned to the other Drow across the way, the one who called himself Nova. Hesitantly, she glanced down at her hand. "I... have a coin here." She uttered in her small voice, lifting the coin just enough to show the dark elf. "Would this do?"

Reluctant to use her wild form without first knowing the dangers beyond their prison cells, the tentative elf first waited to see what the Drow meant to do. Perhaps the two men knew more of their captors than she, and she certainly maintained the positive outlook that the enemies of her enemies could mean an alliance of sorts; even if she did not voice these hopes aloud.
Jar'ees (played by Rattanee)

"Ah didn't do nothing to you girl..." The man said quietly, in a rather annoyed tone... yet another who criticized him... there were so many... not near as many who lived in the long run though.

"Jar"ees" //pronounced jerice// The drow said in near silence as he weighed the bricks, not too keen to speak out loud in fear of their prisonguards coming in, but he laid one of the bricks on the ground, and slid it over to Nova. "'Ere... that work for you?" Of course the brick he sent sliding across the floor to his cellmate was the one he held in his left hand, that he found heavier then the other one.

Casting a brief glance over the others, the drow smiled on the inside. To the others, it would have remained mostly unnoticed (lest they were watching the man rather intently) as he put the other brick beside himself, pulling the little shiv out of it's hiding spot, and sliding it into a pocket. He held onto the semi-hollow brick anyways, so none of the others would likely notice.

"Just what is this idea of yours?" A brow furrowed, the man smirked faintly, curious, but secretly quite glad that at least someone had an idea on how to get out of this... uncomfortable situation.

@Connie- Now you have everyone's names, but how will you get out of here? You have your Lute, they didn't see it as a threat or even really worth much... So at least there's that.

@Nova- A coin is rolled from one cell into the hall, it is a just out of your reach. Make a Dex Check to Grab it. You need 8 Plus to grab it, make a secondary roll as well. 20+Int to craft the Acid. You need 12+ to craft it.

@Min- Tossing a coin out you now old have 79 Gold. Waiting for the Drow across the hall to come up with a solution what if they leave you? What if they escape and you don't... Would you leave this innocent human here to be killed or made a slave out of selfishness? That would go against all you've been taught as a Druid but what solution do you have?

@Jar'ees- As much as you hate prison guards you recegnize the Drow in the cell with you. He was the brother of your last Slave Owner... Count Noire, he was a cruel and wealthy noble. This Drow passed you many times while visiting his brother and he is now just sitting there reaching out trying to get a coin. A noble reaching out for the last bit of wealth in his life. Now would be the time to strike him down, kill him before his brother bails him out... If you wanted to he hasn't noticed you yet not like he ever did. Your training as a monk tells you to be calm and wait but your inner anger wants you to use that shiv and kill him now reaching for that stupid piece of gold!
Kiku (played by purplepandowdy)

"I'm curious about your idea too, Nova. It sounds like it's bound to be interesting." Connie is checking her lyre over as she says this, making sure the small harp is still in good condition, even if she can't see very well right now.
Nova Steele (played by Taycool500)

"Thank you both of you the plan is to make a acid to break the lock so we can escape get you guys out then I guess we figure it out from there " he says as he reaches for the coin.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 18. After the modifier of +2, got 20

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 16. After the modifier of +3, got 19
