You know how there is a "Find RP" button in between "Forums" and "Help"? Well I was wondering if there could be a "Find a Group" button next to the "Find RP" button. So like finding a RP instead you can find a group, so that way if people are looking for a 1x1 RP they don't stumble upon a group RP. Like when you hit the find RP button you can propose a game for a RP or join a game. I was wondering if it could be possible to do that kind of thing for groups? Like you can create a group if you want something specific or join one.

Basically you click the button "Find Groups" and then 2 buttons pop up a "Create a Group" and a "Join a Group". Since Create a group is self explanatory since it would take them straight to the first step into creating a group I'll explain Find a Group. Under Find a Group you would have multiple forum topics giving you a gist of what each group is about, with the title of the group, and a link to the group. Its practically the same thing as "Find RP" except for this is for groups.

I don't know if this would be possible, but I was jut wondering.
I'm sure about possible, but I'm not sure about necessary. o:

Under the 'Community' tab, you can click the Groups link and be directed into the Groups where it shows cycled featured groups (which I think may be on a 'latest updated' type setting, but that is an assumption), both in character and out of character. There is also the search groups at the top of the page that sifts through key words and gives you the best results based on what you enter.

Groups are already displayed with their one or two sentence description through this.

Making it more accessible might be a better thing, though. C: Since finding or making groups is a great way to find people with similar interests, or want to RP in the same kinds of settings.

Yes, it uses last active. Editing a page or similar counts, but also a member of the group posting in the forums or commenting on an event, too. Thus, larger and more active groups tend to hover on the first page, while less active ones slowly slide to the bottom of the list.

You can actually find RP groups via the Find RP search tool identically the same way you search for RP topics! LFRP topics are shown at the top, and groups that match your search are shown at the bottom. Up to 20 of each type. :)

This assumes that all forum topics and PM based RPs are 1x1, and that all RPR Groups are larger sizes. But in actuality, larger groups of people play on the forums and via PM all the time - how many other players you want to join you is one of the questions you can fill in when creating a LFRP topic - and I run across groups designed to house long term RPs between two individuals on a fairly regular basis. I don't think this distinction will actually help people find the size of RP that they want any more easily.

To me, the real strength of groups isn't necessarily in size but in the ability to store more setting information, and to keep more RPs together. The reason to choose to conduct a RPR in an RPR group rather than in another locale tends to be about depth and longevity rather than strictly about size.

It sounds like simply adding a filter for how many people you want to play with when searching would do much more to address your real concern here. :)
