It was a cold day in the kingdom. Yet the birds sang and the people gathered around the city square . Soon the grim announcement came "King Marcus the first on this day is declared dead...let the day of mourning begin!" The question on the mind of each individual citizen was simple will his three children share the throne or does fate have other plans.
Kyle stood quietly at the gate as a messenger relayed him the news of the kings passing. He silently nodded as he dismissed the messenger before he turned and addressed the others at the gate.
"Guardsmen... I have unfortunate news. We have just received news of the kings passing. Do not allow this news to interfere with your normal routines. We must remain stoic and vigilant of any attempt of invasion. Especially now. Others who catch wind may see this as a moment of weakness for us. Standfast. I shall relay the news to madam Fate to endure she is made aware and allow her to determine course of action."
He then proceeded to venture forth into the castle and traverse it's halls in silence before approaching the throne room. As he entered he announced his presence.
"M'lady Fate. I request an audience with you to bring you news just received that is of utmost importance."

Hearing of the kings passing Izzah wasn't sure what to really think. She knew that her liege would most likely be upset, but she wasn't quite sure what she herself should do besides be as his side for whatever he should need in these times. But as she was walking to her post she passed many other guards who seemed nearly as confused as she felt. So she summoned most of them to the barracks.
"My fellow knights, even on this day of mourning and in this hour of need, stay strong. Our Lord Jack will be needing everyone to be on their best as you always are. We all know that tragedy does not always strike sorrow in some, so be ready and keep your wits about you." She said looking at all of them. She was a defiant knight yet kind hearted when she needed to be. "Now, back to your posts." She said nodding them off before heading to the side of her Lord Jack. She didn't know what it was about him, but she would follow him through any endeavor, if all odds were against them she would continue to serve him. She only hoped that he knew that.

The door opened slowly to show lady fate in her usual white night gown upon one of three thrones her smile bright and cheerful despite the early morning. She smiles at you brightly and offers a nice cup of Coffee. She brushes a long peice of hair out of her face to show her eyes whose colors move and shift like that of a candle.

Lord jack can be seen not far away from the castle deep in prayer. He smiles though because his fathers soul shall remain at peace even though he knows it shall be hard to govern a kingdome from seperate thrones he is confident that his siblings and him shall prove worthy of doing so less the world fall to darkness.

He walked forward towards Fate and as he neared the thrones he stopped and dropped to one knee bowing his head as he did so.
"My lady. I apologize as the news I bring is important but not happy. We have just received word of your father's passing. I have already spoken with the guards on the matter and have informed them to not let this cause them to waver in their duties."

She walked into the chapel, bowing her head as she stepped in and then approaching her lord and taking a knee with her arm over her chest. "My Liege, you really should be more careful about being out and about." She said quietly trying to respect the chapel. How does one with so much power in front of them stay to humble and solemn, but this was Jack.
she smiles and begins to make her way down the ha to the kitchen and begins to pour some tea that she had prepared earlier to calm her nerves___________________________________

After all, as his health failed more and more, rarely anyone saw or heard from the king, and thus many saw that there was no hopeful turn point to his recovery. With that in mind, citizens around would murmured and wonder amongst themselves of who would take the crown, given King Marcus I's three children. However what others thought about who would rule mattered not to Eliseo.
Dressed in a solemn robe, Eliseo had forgone the chapel's service to the deceased king. Instead, he paid his respects silently to himself. The king had been rather respected among the scholars, the man knew the importance of education and philosophy and for that Eliseo was thankful for what the king had bestowed to the scholars of Arion, even when plagued with times of war and poverty.

He found Jack unqualified to be king with his lack of sobriety, and while he found Fate to be of good face, he believed her to be too soft.
