Hello readers! This is an advertisement for a world-spanning adventure, filled with danger, Pokemon, and the stories of trainers from all over! Travel to unravel the mystery of Team Rocket's operations, the strange meteor showers, and the deadly, dusty Pokemon! Will chance favor you, or will you succumb to the terrible fate that is blacked out?

And it is so very easy to join in! Look at some pictures and pick your favorite! Pick 2 unevolved Pokemon from Generation 6 or below! Message me your picks and I will create an intro post specifically for you to join in to the story!

If you have specific ideas on what type of character you would like to play, you may message me and we will discuss what may be the best class for you. Do stop by!

Hello and welcome to the Pokemon Tabletop for the RPR. I took some time and translated classes from the already made Pokemon Tabeltop United book with heavily simplified mechanics and hopefully the dice rolls will be simple enough for anyone to pick up. But, I cordially invite all players to enjoy the simple Pokemon setting. All ages are welcome! The adventures will feature Pokemon up to Generation 6 (X and Y). This group will include: Shadow Pokemon and other mean things in plots, Gym Battles, Pokemon Battles, Pokemon Contests, Character and Pokemon advancement, Secret Hideouts, Pokemon Trading, Pokemon Casino, Battle Tower, Safari Zone, and the Elite Four. As for starting out...

Step 1, Creating a brand new character, or not?

Creating a new character.

This is a "How to" in creating Pokemon trainers within the setting. For those that have their own trainers already, that's fine! You can skip the How to.

How to: Every new trainer is able to start with 1 evolved (once) Pokemon, or two unevolved Pokemon. That's it, as far as Pokemon choices go, no legendary Pokemon are allowed to be someone's starter. Or the secret option that happened and wasn't discussed: One evolved Pokémon, that was evolved with a stone, and one unevolved Pokémon. The Pokémon that was evolved with a stone must have been in the first stage, like Pikachu and Eevee and not like Gloom or Poliwhirl.

Step 2 Pick a class from the new and improved list (it has pictures!), which can be found here.

Step 3 You can pick a background for the character, but it's optional! You can post a short intro of your character in the Meet the Cast, to allow others an idea of your character!

Each trainer will start with 2000 yen, unless your an advanced trainer and may or may not have a Gym. If you do have a Gym, you have a special income. Possible Gym owners will be discussed on.
Any limits for the starters save they can't be legendary?

An excellent question! I believe the level cap, so to say, for starting off differs between the age categories.

A brand new trainer should have a Pokemon between level 1-15, while a 21-30 year old would have a level 15-25 Pokemon, and anyone older than 30 should have Pokemon up to level 40. Special cases do exist and can be discussed. With those baselines in place, any Pokemon that fits the categories is acceptable!

Here is the group! This is still a work in progress, but I am working on it! Right here
Is this still open? Trying to figure this system out, but it looks interesting.

It always is, and so am I! I'll likely create a more streamlined invitation for this group once my friends cease their visiting. If you have any questions, you may send a message to me or reply here and I -will- answer them!
Alright, sweet
A bit too busy this whole month, but I will say that it looks interesting~

I'm glad you're interested! I may move the background choices into an optional thing. It'll be available to those that wish to have more personalized dice rolls, but isn't necessary. I will be working upon the group today, so if questions appear, I will be readily available to answer them.

Today, I will start the adventure with so many posts, everywhere.

It's been two months since I first created this adventure. Now there are two active members, and plenty of room for more!

This group is best if you:

Want your backstory to matter; Each character's backstory is part of the setting, from the npcs involved and the major events that took place.

Want to follow a plotline or create your own path; Each player is free to pursue what their character wishes to do and may easily avoid all of my plot hooks! Thankfully, I'm a very patient fisher.

Love beautiful scenery; This beautiful post below is my example;

Trekking over fallen logs and through the tall grass, the trees became steadily thicker. The light that shone through the canopy dimmed, but the sound of many Pokémon was growing. The tall grass parted to a large, old oak with twisting branches that must have been as thick as Titania herself. A Mankey was settled in the tree, angrily throwing fruit below, the berries splatting across the ground floor and along the roots of the tree.

Below, a group of colorful Flabebes swayed back and forth, collecting the berry pieces and eating them. A few Tailows pruned their feathers, sitting along the branches of the tree, and a Zigzagoon or two were sneaking pieces of fallen fruit and eating them away from the group of fairy Pokémon.

Don't mind rolling dice; The dice may seem daunting at first, but once you get the hang of it, you will be safe in knowing that the dice rolls will never change.

Enjoy Pokemon There are a lot of Pokemon!
is this room still open, i would like to join (still working on my character)

It -is- open! If you need any assistance, I am always happy to help.

My group thirsts for fresh blood! Happy Samhain!

If we wanted to start with a more experienced trainer say in their 30s or later do we also start 1 evolved (once) Pokemon, or two unevolved Pokemon. ? Because some Pokemon that are Level 40 might be on their last evolutionary stage.

Just asking :D

My guidelines are for brand new trainers just starting their journey. If you have a pre-made character, you may use their already established Pokemon. Though if you wished to create a new character who is older than 30 years, I would say they could easily have 6 un-evolved Pokemon or 3 fully evolved Pokemon, or anything between those two guidelines.

Currently, my prodigy trainer has 3 unevolved Pokemon before her first adventuring day has come to a closing, so an older trainer might just have those Pokemon or may be training new ones for whatever reason. An older trainer might even be a gym leader in their spare time, but might travel around with less experienced Pokemon to help them grow and other nice things.

Pre-made characters are less strict than just-made characters, I would say. Probably because I don't want brand new characters to worry about too much and they will have less to juggle (unless they're a juggler, then I suppose they have many things to juggle.)

Sweet Bananas :O

Sorry, sorry! Ask a simple question and wish for a simple answer, yes?

For brand new trainers, regardless of age, you may have either the 1 evolved Pokemon (once) or two unevolved Pokemon. This is to signify being older, but just getting into the new trend of being a Pokemon Trainer.
Ryu

Your first response answered effectively :P I was just celebrating. Sorry for the confusion ;x
Miss Topic Starter

Oh good! Then we will go towards my first answer.
