For one night only! said a sign in big flashing letters. Bero (pronounced Bur-row
) had set up a haunted house to draw in randoms from the street as they passed by. The phoenix sat on the front steps, messaging a friend that was inside, asking if they were all set. Once he got the A-Okay to go, he pulled a lever and lit up the lights leading to the doorway."Come one, come all!" he shouted loudly whenever he saw anybody passing by, "To the greatest haunted house on this side of town!" He didn't have a costume, but why would he need one when the house itself was set up in the most horrifying way he could muster up? Also, that friend of his inside was dressed to the nines and equipped with a chainsaw to chase the victims when they least suspect him/her to show up. (Anybody want to play the friend?)
(Let me also add that there's a room in the house you have to get to for the candy. xD I had to be complex rather than just give it out.)
Thresher was ready to make his way home with the spoils of his eventful night out. Despite being a college student and having responsibilities that would have typically conflicted with some of the 'childish' events he wished to partake in, Halloween was one of those holidays that always had a special place in his heart. Due to the fact that he did not have to do any fighting, either, it seemed that Doggi had been content with keeping up the Miraculous transformation.
Therefore, it seemed that Archer would not be making his normal appearance for the most part.
Passing by a house, Thresher took pause and looked to the sign that was flashing before looking to the individual that was standing out in front. The fact that this place was being advertised as a haunted house was especially exciting to Thresher, and he started to make his way over, a grin upon his face.
"Hey there! Do you need tickets or anything to experience the haunted house you got here? I would love to check it out!" Thresher said, looking to the door of the house, and then back to the man out front.

"I want to know that too," said a severe looking woman in a lab coat, who happened to be strolling down the street at about the same time. "If you're going to claim that this is the best haunted house ever, someone is going to have to rate and verify that claim."
Snow walked down a random street, like she always does, and say a big flash of lighting. Quickly turning around to see where it a came from, she saw man and a huge rather looking creepy house. A haunted house?
"Hey man guy! may I please go in the haunted house? I mean, you did say it was the best and I need excitment"

"No tickets, just head on in!" he grinned to them. "It's free of charge, as we're just a bunch of Halloween lovers doing this for the fun of it."
He nodded, "Sounds fair. Why not let me know when you get back outside? If we get a low score I'll have to make them work on their acts."
To Snow he nodded, "Go right ahead. Have fun. If you make it to the candy room, make sure to be sneaky. It's guarded." He gave a playful wink and watched to see if anyone else came by.

"'Eey~ Mahalo nui loa, brah!" Thresher said, grinning rather broadly as he started up for the house and entered. Thresher was definitely looking forward to whatever spectacles and attractions that could have been set up within.
"Thank you," said the woman in the lab coat, and marched crisply up the steps and into the house, her sensibly low heels clicking on the pavement.
For the most part, she was a sadly unreactive mark in a haunted house, giving the performers very little feedback in either stance or expression. A few times, however, she would peel her lips back in a grimace when something jumped out at her, and could occasionally be heard to hiss under her breath, "Communists," in a tone that implied that that was the very worst thing there could be. So maybe they were getting to her?
The way she wandered in the house might also have been a sign that she was suffering more than she let on, or it could just be that she was a little bit batty to begin with. Hard to know, with strangers! Occasionally, she'd backtrack the way that she'd come, or stare at corners for a long while while performers did their best zombie impressions around her, like she'd just abruptly checked out of reality.
At the end of her meandering trip through the haunted house, she took a moment to adjust her clothing and hair (though it hadn't really been out of place), before heading around from the back back up to where Bero sat.
"Your haunted house receives passing marks from me. Thank you for the experience."

Honestly he had no idea what that guy even said to him, just grinning back with a nod as he watched him take off for the house. It was your typical haunted house of course, people jumping out, random screams paired with the lights suddenly flickering out. Strobe lights made certain actors' movements seem almost freakish when done just right. And then you had chainsaw buddy of his that would jump out of the shadows with a loud Joker laugh before running straight at them. Fun times! It was easily a maze, but if they made it to the candy room, there was a large treasure chest in the middle of the room. Zombie pirates leaned against the wall in strategic spots, and would openly charge at anyone that wasn't 'sneaky' enough.
Bero grinned when he noticed the female come back out, "It does? Nice! You're welcome. Did you have fun in there? Hopefully they didn't scare ya too bad."

The house was certainly something, that was for sure! There were scares here and there, and there were even moments of the 'uncanny valley' being experienced as Thresher walked through the house and experienced its attractions. With the rise of heart rate sometimes, Thresher would just nervously laugh it off before continuing on.
Overall, though, going through the house was certainly no mistake. Once he was out, Thresher gave a hearty chuckle and then looked to Bero.
"Mahalo plenty for the experience. Happy Halloween -- or as they say in my tongue: Hauʻoli Lā Heleuī!" Thresher went ahead and said. He gave a half wave to Bero and started on his way out of the vicinity -- a new, pleasant experience now in his memories.
Overall, though, going through the house was certainly no mistake. Once he was out, Thresher gave a hearty chuckle and then looked to Bero.
