So my friend is staying over at my house this week while her parents are away on a buisness trip. I told her about the site and she seemed really interested. So, we used my laptop and one of my old emails to make it, but it said that this IP was banned from making new accounts. I had no idea what this meant so I was looking for help... Does she simply need to use her laptop or make a new email?

It means that someone with the same IP address as you got themselves into serious trouble and we aren't currently accepting new accounts from it. IP addresses can be shared between many different people, usually because they live in the same city or part of the city and have the same internet provider (company).
If she tries again at her own home, it may work just fine.
