A group of samurai walk into a small village on the outskirts of the Japanese Empire in search of ninja or ninja sympathizers. They eye the villagers suspiciously as they avoid their gaze. Meanwhile, the town medicine woman, a beautiful individual with a pink lotus flower in her violet flowing hair, cleans a small bowl just outside her hut. Her kimono was simple yet somehow elegant and her expression was soft and welcoming. At that moment, a stranger had wandered into the village...

The man went by no name, his robes were Navy and black, he avoided the sight of the samurai, he slowly walked towards the medicine but of the village, he gently coughed as he did so

Ai looks up to see the strange unnamed man. Her smile made her face glow as she put the bowl aside. "Welcome, stranger! How can I help you today?"
Her melodic voice carried no malice or threat, yet it attracted the attention of the samurai, who stopped and watched the two carefully.

"...Do you have any cough serum?" His voice was quiet, his eyes darted over to the samurai then back to Ai"Please be quick"(I'm sorry if my posts are short, I'm getting writer's block)

(I have a character, that is a shinorai. Meaning he has the honor of a samurai but is intuitive like a shinobi)

Ai nods, talking a bit quieter now. She recognized something about the strange man but she kept it to herself until she knew for sure. "Of course. Let me see..."
She invites the man into her well kept hut, jars of herbs and flowers displayed neatly on shelves. She selects one jar of a thick amber colored liquid. "How much would you..."
Her question was cut off as the samurai pushed their way into the medicine hut, suspicious of the two characters. "Nobody move," one of the senior officer barked, making his way towards the man with a stern look on his face.

"May I remove my hood?" Lucifer asked to the officer, he glanced over at Ai, a dark grin appeared on his face, he had a plan, a voice rang out in Ai's mind"I am the Moonlit Terror. Let me do the talking, I know how to soften these samurai up".

Ai was startled by the voice in her head, but externally she remained calm. "I have heard talk of your work, Moonlit Terror. However, I urge you not to fight these men, not in this broad daylight. Stand down, let me handle this." She was a bit cautious of using her name, even though her real name wasn't well-known outside of the surrounding area.
Ai smiles at the samurai and fixes her hair. "Is there something wrong, sirs?" Although she was careful not to be threatening, the leader of the samurai scowled at her and walks up to her. "You there. Have you seen any ninja in these parts?"
Ai gives him a look of pure innocence and confusion. "Not that I know of. I don't ask those questions, I simply give them what they need and send them along."

"...As you wish" Lucifer stood silently at the samurai, his attire would point to him being a bandit or even a ninja, He did not fear being singled out as he has escaped samurai before.

"Worhhless hag," the samurai mutters and spits at Ai, then he walks up to moonlit terror. "You, stranger. Any connections to ninja or ninja sympathizers?" He put his hand on the hilt of his blade, but Ai remains calm despite the insult.

"No, I have not heard of any ninja in these parts for a long while, except one...But anyone who crossed his path was eliminated early before they could identify the ninja...Also, this is a sincere request, please be more respectful to the medicine woman, without her kind, many of the samurai would die of fevers while hunting"

Ai gives the Moonlit Terror a small smile as the samurai scowls and mutters, "We'll be back. Don't go anywhere." He turns and leaves, the rest of the patrol following. One of the newer samurai smirks at Ai on the way out. "See you later, worthless hag."
Ai says nothing until they leave, then she sighs and smiles at Moonlit Terror. "Thank you very much, Terror. They usually stay longer than that. Is there anything else I can do to help you?"

"Not at the moment. But in the near future, many ninja will be called upon for something...But I shall say no more...for it requires much more planning. I will return in the near future, now" He pulled out a small bag of coin"Payment for the cough syrup" as he handed it over, he began to cough

Ai gives Moonlit Terror a warm smile and pushes the coins back to her. "Oh, no thank you. I only accept money for house visits and renting out my spare room. I appreciate your thoughtfulnes, though."
She hesitates before saying a little more quietly, "I would be careful, the samurai comb through the outer forest often for ninja. Traveling through the towns would be a safer idea."
