Hey!
Wow... uh long time since I have posted on the forums, especially with this character... long time communicating publicly actually. Most of you who are familiar with Eric know my actual player profile as well, might want to throw rocks at me, etc. I was on a long hiatus of sorts, kinda dropped off the face of the earth several times without warning as some of you may have experienced first hand... *cough* sincere apologies all around. Really haven't been as active as I was three years ago until, maybe four months ago?
Anyway, Why am I posting?
I've had a rough year, I think we all have, but at the start of 2016, I lost my childhood idol and life inspiration.
Eric was one of, if not my very first character, and he is heavily inspired and designed off of David Robert Jones, David Bowie for those unfamiliar with his off-stage name.
January 8th, 9am was the time and day David was born, which is today... and on January 10th, it will have been a complete year since his passing of dealing with cancer and jaundice. Since then I haven't really been myself. I use to listen to music as much as I could, and now it's rare for me to play even one song a week, regardless the band. I drew every other day, and now I am almost disgusted at making an attempt to draw anything.
Within the past month, I finally have made effort to reconnect with these things that use to be of great importance to me, and with that instead of avoiding everything David Bowie related so not to have any emotional breakdowns, I've been forcing myself to get back with it, and part of that includes role playing with my character. I have a few going on, and I'm relieved that it is actually helping me cope with his passing by being able to play as though he is still alive in this fictional story telling form. It's quite comforting really.
I guess where I'm going with this, is that I want to sincerely apologize to all those I more or less 'left for dead', I aim to better communicate this time around, and hope to expose myself in this way and become more involved again on the site, chat rooms, everything, bothering you all once again with Bowie gifs and related nonsense.
I hope you'll accept me back although I never truly left. Also if you take a liking to Eric here, I might be willing to write up a few more plots, though I've been fairly picky about it. If you want to chat, hit me up, if you have questions, I'll answer them especially if they revolve around David. I love introducing people to the man
and talking with other fans.
