Hello and welcome to the RP Repository. I hope you find your feet and have fun here.
My pointers ( though feel free to disregard them, I'm not a very social person on this site ) is to explore the site and read what information pages your mind will permit you to ( I say this because I personally have ADHD and focus can be difficult for me to have for long periods of time, haha. )
On the bar just below the site logo there are links 'Home', 'Dashboard', 'Community', 'Forums', 'Find RP', and 'Help', as well as a handful of other links in slightly smaller text just beneath. I recommend clicking through these links and poking about, reading here and there. Familiarizing yourself with the site, it's layout, it's functions, and of course it's services.

Are you new to roleplay or just RPR? There are a couple of links that might help you out, such as the Getting Started Guide and the New to Roleplay Primer. Both of those are just a starting point though, so feel free to ask questions! We're all super friendly here and we love helping out our new members

In regards to tips/pointers, everyone else seems to have hit the nail on the head. The only other thing I could think to say about this would be that when you're ready to rp, advertise for a roleplay or request to join on an existing topic here. When you find a partner or partners, you can then roleplay in one of the three roleplaying forums, a PM, or a group.
Other than this and the other information given by the previous users, the rest is up for you to discover. If you need help at any time, PM a mod and they'll help you. Happy roleplaying ^^

Welcome to the site, Samantha! I can't say anything helpful that hasn't been covered, but you can basically find what you need from here or the Help Forum. If you're still having trouble, well that's what we have moderators and an active/very friendly community here for!
