I've been away from the site for a while (apologies to the friends I ghosted OTL) and I've been exploring other avenues of roleplay types. Namely, as you can guess from the title, MMOs!

Thanks to a link from a friend, I've found thriving communities of RPers on various games (though most meet through various sites on Enjin, I've noticed). It's an interesting format, like chat RP (especially graphical ones like Furcadia) but with the benefit of visuals, among other things.

I was curious to see if anyone else here was familiar with this style and wanted to talk about their experiences. I've really only played in Guild Wars 2, but I've poked my head into similar communities in The Secret World and World of Warcraft.
I've done a little rp in Guildy myself although it isnt 100% serious its mostly me and my mates ripping on eachother and starting unnecessary antics with other people, we took it seriously in the Shadow Behemoth event (rip frames) and when we took the Norn to Divinity's Reach for the first time.
I was involved with a pretty good RP supergroup back in the days of City of Heroes. Before the dark times, anyway. There was a fair amount of standing around in that game when grouping (this was in the days before such modern MMO conveniences like queues or LFG flags or anything), so we'd often sit around outside mission doors and chatter in character while waiting to fill a team.

There was a core of us that were actually rather fast at typing so we used to RP *in combat* sometimes. Needless to say, that caused more than one team wipe on occasion, but it was usually worth it.

I used to RP is ESO but that guild became drama ridden and disbanded, then our lwader took to LOTRO. After that I became a mega-tryhard in that game so I stopped RPing.
