Is fandom rp welcome on this site? The reason why I ask is because when creating character profiles, people usually use images from films, books, etc, to portray them and I am not sure if this violates the rules or not. I am a big fandom rper and this is how I will be using the site if I choose to.
You are more than welcome to do Fandom RP on RPR! Just keep in mind that it's your responsibility to only use resources for your profiles that you are legally allowed to use. The usage rights can differ strongly per company/creator, so you have to double check with the publishers on whether it's okay or not. If you're using copyrighted material you're not allowed to use, and the copyright holder gets in touch with Kim (the site admin), you will be asked to remove everything that violates the copyright. Repeat offenses can lead to consequences for your account on the site.
That said, most places don't mind fandom RP/using images for non-profit reasons like RP. To my knowledge nobody has ever gotten in trouble for RPing in the Harry Potter fandom for example, and I personally have Star Wars and Mass Effect characters without issue. As long as you're respectful with the resources and heeding requests not to use stuff if they say you can't, you should be golden.
