What are everyone's thoughts on these?
You mean like comics? Or something more video-game-y, like Dear Esther or the Walking Dead?

This is one I'm currently working on getting through. http://store.steampowered.com/app/264380/Narcissu_1st__2nd/
Visual Novels? I love them. I'll admit to only playing one, which is Fate Stay Night, but I want to play more that have the right mix of feels and action. My boyfriend is into Katawa Shoujo, though, and I think he's also played a couple of others as well.
My partner just got through Fault - Milestone One. She's in the middle of the second one, and isn't fond of VN's overall but sees their appeal. She wishes there was more creativity and finds a lot of them unfortunately dull. But she likes Fault because in the second one there's a bit of diversion with programming tricks.

I personally haven't played... any of them. So I don't have an opinion. The closest to one that I've played was Banner Saga, and that's more of a game. The art style is amazing though, based off of Eyvind Earle's stuff, and Austin Wintory does the soundtrack.

I've been enjoying Hakuoki quite a lot. Though, I wish the skip option was a lot faster, it'd make running different routes a lot easier. Hakuoki has a lot of dialogue.

Honestly, I've been having issues finding more VNs, since I really like games with auto skip (it lets me knit and play!) And I don't know of any other games with the option. Also, a lot of games I'd like to play are usually old and unlikely to have English translations...
