I'm a bellpepper virgin. I stuck some seeds in pots early this spring and it's starting to look like it was worth the effort!

My question is, that I'm wondering if the plant can really handle all the peppers that look like they're on the way. I've got 6 peppers half-developed already, twice as many blooming flowers, and there's another 20 or so undeveloped buds. The plant itself is healthy and steady-looking, and reaches roughly to my chest.

And if you're wondering; the seeds are from a friend who didn't know the name, but I know it's a kind that will have beautiful black peppers.

I'm not 100% certain, but it looks like you should be fine with what you've got there.
If you wanted to transfer to a bigger pot, I certainly wouldn't discourage you from doing it, but as long as you're not intending for the plant to get much bigger than it already is, you should be fine.

I'd also recommend pruning it at this point, so that the energy and nutrients get redirected into the peppers and the roots rather than getting spent on new offshoots and leaves.

Either way it looks gorgeous and tasty!
