"Everything was going well. Halloween was not far off. The weather felt great. Nothing could go wrong at this point. Even though things were going so bad before, it seemed like things were turning around. I had just been asked to the fall formal by the cutest guy in my class. Daddy had found a great job. And I finally had a chance to meet mama for the first time. It felt like my life was on track. But... things aren't always the way they seem..."
The television would be on the news channel. Out of nowhere, a gigantic storm was brewing.
"We apologize for interrupting the normally scheduled show, but we have a storm update. The seemingly small tropical storm that was brewing has already become a category five hurricane. Our meteorologist, Jason Meyers, is out on the cost as we speak. He has reported that it is heading our way. We ask that everyone on the coast please be safe no matter what you do. If you can evacuate, do so immediately. Those of you who can't, please seek shelter immediately."
The news broadcast would end and the tv show returned. Alys sat there, panicking, not knowing what to do. She lived so close to the coast, and her father wasn't home. She would hide in the bathroom and throw a mattress over herself. It seemed like an eternity, but the devastation was finally over. The problem was, this storm brought something with it. People were getting sick all over the place. Old people and children were dying. Those with relatively healthy immune systems fell ill, but some survived. Pandemonium struck as the dead began coming back to life. No one knew exactly what it was, but that storm brought death's incarnation with it.
"I... I have to hide before they find me. They killed daddy... I just know they did..."
Alys started her survival in an abandoned building, hiding from people who were out to get her, as well as the undead who seeked out the very flesh of the living.
(Let's be as realistic as possible with this. No god modding, no outlandish weapons, no auto killing. This is nothing like Dead Rising or Lollipop Chainsaw. Meaning if you're closed in on by 20 or 30 zombies, its gonna be pretty hard to escape. There can be factions. People who have decided to take back a piece of humanity in their own special way. Let's have fun and live or die together!)
