I have this new character whose profile I am still writing. However I keep going back and forth between two possible names for her. Before I tell you those names, I better tell you what kid of character she is.

She is a small black 9 tailed kitsune with the curious power of being able to manipulate bad luck. It's only bad luck that she can control so she can't make something good happen to you, but she can prevent something bad from happening to you.

So I am stuck between two very similar names. Ukichi and Unkichi. Kichi is a female name meaning fortune. So putting un in front would make her name the opposite of fortune. Yet despite Unkichi being more correct, I still have a slight preference to Ukichi for how it sounds.

What do you think?

Well, having Ukichi as a name would make it more of an ironic name for the character's actual power, right? That may be fun to mess around with, besides, if you like it better, go for it!

No Kichi is the name of fortune so having a U in front of it already hints at it.

I am confused now. O_O
Sorry, I don't know much about names, when I create some random name, I throw letters together and see if I can pronounce it.
