Lazarus_Twice_Risen

Note: Character profiles aren't my thing. I'm sorry. I'm just not good at them. I am a decent writer though, promise!

First of all, I'm mainly looking for mxm, though I will occasionally play the f to your m (particularly if you're looking for Iron Man, but more on that later). It's not that I have a problem with females in general (being one myself), I just tend to find male characters more interesting. No, I'm not sure why.

I am 29, have been role-playing for around 12 years, and love to write. I prefer one-on-one, prose-style RP. Over the years I've slimmed my writing down and prefer quality over quantity, producing between a single to two dozen paragraphs at a time, and averaging at around three or four (I prefer that the story keep moving rather than get stuck in the details).

I tend to stick with modern realism when it comes to my characters and settings, though I do sometimes allow for some certain fantasy elements if done well. I prefer male x male relationships, though I do play the occasional female character. I will very rarely play opposite a female lead, though I don't mind them as secondary characters.

Let's see… Like I said above, I'm mostly looking for male x male RP, unless you happen to play Tony Stark (Iron Man, Avengers, Marvel, whatever), in which case I'm rather proud of my Pepper Potts. I tend to like mature characters; I've had characters as old as their sixties and almost every age below. I also like realistically masculine characters (note that I did not say hyper-masculine). I'm not attracted to overtly feminine males. In general, I'd like to think that I'm a fan of 'the average guy.' That doesn't mean that I don't like a good twist to that archetype, mind you, but my love of 'realism' tends to be pervasive.

If you want to know more about me, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Frankly, that's probably the best way to know if we'll mesh.

Fandom Stuff. I'm primarily interested in custom content, but that doesn't mean that there aren't a few things that might catch my interest. Iron Man, obviously, as I've mentioned it twice now. I could definitely work something out concerning the world set up in The Greywalker series by Kat Richardson. One thing to note is that I'm not particularly interested in anything based on Anime / manga. I left that world behind a few years ago, and it would take some major nostalgia to change my mind. Other than that, if there's something you really want to ask me about, go for it.

What I'm looking for in a partner
*Warning… language

Know your limits. Please know how good of a writer you are. I have been doing this way too long, and my patience is starting to wane. I don't have a problem with novice or intermediate role players, but I am not one. I tend to be picky, and I can often tell pretty quickly if we aren't going to work. I don't want to waste your time, so if I tell you that we aren't right for one another, please just trust me on this.

Maturity. While maturity doesn't always have anything to do with age, it often does. I prefer that my partner be 18+, and generally even older than that; the older I get, the younger 18 seems. Please don't take this personally - you'll probably see what I mean when you get here. That doesn't mean that I won't consider someone in that age range, but I do expect you to be able to deal with our relationship in a mature, adult manner. If you understand and agree with what I'm writing in this section you'll probably be okay. However, if you are prone to drama or can't 'tell it to me straight' then you'll probably want to move on to the next writer.

The ability to write a well-formed paragraph. If you use AIM, an appropriate size is anywhere from 1/4 an IM box to about three. I can work with less or more, but prefer to average somewhere in there. I know there are times when 'less is more' and others when 'more is awesome.' Go with the flow, give me a good description (sight-sound-smell-taste) and enough information (who-what-when-where-why-and-how) to be understood. Spelling isn't as necessary as good sentence structure.

Time is a factor. When RPing in real time I don't like to wait more than 20-35 minutes per post on average. I will if you're particularly interesting or if it's not a common thing and you warn me ahead of time, but in general I prefer a faster pace. I would rather have a quick response than a novel. This does not apply for e-mail RP.

A sense of humor. Even during sex. If my character is giving someone head while drunk off his gourd, don't be surprised if a well-timed thrust to the back of the throat triggers his gag reflex. Sex in the shower may result in a concussion. Romantic moments may be rudely interrupted. If you're looking for stroke material or can't stand a few hiccups along the way, we're not gonna work.

Diversity! I expect various events to happen during a good RP. Don't make every game the same as the one before or I'll grow bored with you and wander off. This extends to sex. I don't want to read five hours of in-out-in-out. If I get bored I'll have my character come and jerk yours off all in one post rather than let it play out. That said, I'm just as happy with fade-outs and quick-descript sex scenes.
A working brain. Please be logical. Even if we're dealing with magic, some rules still need apply.

Pull your weight! I'm not the best at plotting, but I will try. Please do the same. I don't want to come up with every twist and turn. I don't feel that we need to discuss the whole plot before playing as I feel that writer-chemistry plays an important part in how a game unfolds, but once we've established things please be willing to help keep things interesting.

Tell it to me straight. If you don't like something, please, for the love of God, tell me! I can't tell you the number of times that I've had a partner go silent because something happened in-game that they didn't like. If it bothers you that much let me know and we'll find a work around.
I may sound mean. I'm not, but I am picky. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't approach me. The worst I can say is 'no, I don't think that we'll mesh well.'

Still think we might work? Excellent! Contact me!
