I'm a 29 year-old husband and father with a long-time obsession with writing and fantasy. My love for both spawns from early exposure to the beauty of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and has been fostered and enriched with exposure to many different kinds of fiction. When it comes to stories I love richly designed worlds that take on a life of their own, and lands with complex histories of rising and falling powers.
In addition to my love of fantasy, I'm also a massive comic book fan. While I love old Marvel comics, I'm much more of a DC fan these day. The best comic ever, though, is Robert Kirkman's "Invincible" which comes from Image Comics. Fight me.
I've been a forum roleplayer for over ten years now (wow), and in that time I've been a mod and won a couple tournaments. My characters tend to get swept up in epic events, and I myself like to write decently lengthy quests. They are also loyal friends, wise advisors, and steadfast champions. When I write I generally strive to follow two simple stylistic rules. First, never start any two sentences in a paragraph with the same letter. Second, try to cycle ways of naming your character to avoid repetition of their proper name in a paragraph. As a Golden Rule, I generally try to make having fun the core purpose of a roleplay.
