The Riaqu

  Beings corrupted into servitude of the darkness outside of time. Nearly anything can become an Riāqu, from the lowliest of microbes to even some gods. When one becomes one of these gregarious horrors, they become prisoners within their own bodies, forced to watch as a new personality based upon the original takes control. This new personality is, in essence, a twisted and inverted variant of the original, often having the behaviors and quirks of the original, yet aimed at acting in a way opposing the rightful mind of the corrupted being. However, this transformation always results in a being of evil coming to be.
  
  The transformation into an Riāqu results in the body becoming horribly twisted, as well. More often than not, the body becomes (cosmetically only) rotted to varying degrees, wings and/or tentacles grow with amounts depending on how strong a particular Riāqu is, the eyes become hollow sockets filled with darkness with naught but tiny pinpricks of white light to act as pupils, and any preference for clothing is lost. These are far from the only physical changes, however, as just about anything could happen. They each contain a 'core' of a substance known as Moros (named after the Greek god of impending doom), acting as an anchor for their seething, paradoxical Void energies and causing most methods of purification to become less effective, formed during a Riāqu's creation due to the collision of Void energies and the victim's own inner darkness/negativity.
  
  Every Riāqu keeps their original powers and abilities to varying degrees, while gaining abilities depending on what they are best suited for. Every Riāqu is capable of controlling darkness and emptiness, as well as having enhanced strength and endurance, but these are only the generic abilities and do not go into any specializations.
