• Description

  Blonde hair and fair skin were the basic traits of this young man, standing in a tuxedo with his hands in his pockets. Green eyes peered out at the world and lit up a room when he smiled, which was quite often. He was rarely seen not smiling. Hair slicked back, he's changed his image and his name- inspired by a character from a story, a legend. Identity crisis? No, pure inspiration.
  
  '1900' took his name from a favorite movie character, who he relates himself to greatly. Both he and the character from the movie were born and found in the year 1900, though our boy here in furcadia was found on a dock rather than on board a ship.
  
  Our 1900 used to go by the name "Nove", raised by an Italian immigrant who thought it would be good luck. Nove was orphaned again by the age of nine, and since grew into the habit of sneaking onto ships and into speakeasies to survive. He learned how to play piano on the water, and a special kind of magic there too. The more magic he used however, the more memories he lost. Without memories, he would be unable to be himself...
  
  On the water one night, Nove watched the stars and was approached by a handsome young man, about the same age as he. That man shared with Nove a story, a legend of a pianist who never left the ship he was born on.
  
  Nove related to that man, and became obsessed with the legend. It was only a story, right? Eventually in his performances he started taking the stage name of "1900", after the legend. His mysterious past, as no one knew of him well enough, was perfect. He forgot himself, he pushed it all away, changed his name and his fate to become a legend.
  
  ((While the movie "La leggenda del pianista sull'Oceano" by Tornatore was not released until 1998, in the world of fantasy Nove heard a legend of the same monologue, 'Novecento' by Barrico and drew his inspiration to change his name from that. The characters, storylines, and titles of both the original story "Novecento" and the movie "La leggenda del pianista sull'Oceano" are all property of their respective owners. MY 1900, the character I play in furcadia, is an entirely different man with a different past and future- who renamed himself after these magnificent works of art.))
