  Hail Kyōki is a young girl in middle school. She is an "average" 8th grader with only a few friends. Her friends are her three cousins, Akito Kyōki, Kisu Kyōki. and Akira Kyōki. You also have a non family friend (although, not as close). His name is Aidan Chaz. She tends to be quite quiet around people. She doesn't really like to talk to classmates or do group work. Although, when she's with her friends, she is shown to be less serious and more sarcastic. She also likes to make jokes and puns around them. She has hobbies such as playing the guitar. She wants to do something with her life that involves that skill. She likes skull patterns and has a tendency to paint them onto her shirts. She has a common attire of clothing that consists of her either her black and red shirt or her long sleeved gray sweater. Hail can be very inpatient. She also tends to be late for school or any sort of event going on. She always sleeps in late because she's always up all night playing the guitar (which her mother, Amai Kyōki, yells at her for it).
