Nice singing voice. Skilled in piano, violin, and guitar, champion pie maker, and he knows how to juggle. He's athletic enough to be a decent distance runner. Looooooves to travel, learn about cultures, food, eating, helping people, yoga, cats, music/musical theater.

Nyk is an altruistic humanitarian and a pacifist through and through. He's generally an extremely friendly and cheerful individual. He's a man of immense kindness and generosity, wearing his emotions openly on his face and his heart on his sleeve. Nyk is thoughtful and considerate, always willing to lend an ear to someone who needs it. Anyone who's known him for any length of time has nothing but glowing reviews; however, closer friends would argue that sometimes, his selflessness goes too far. It isn't out of the realm of probability that Nyk will throw himself headfirst into danger for the sake of another, risk to his own safety be damned.
∝ Personal Afflictions
Nyk has his own special brand of insomnia. [Usually explained ic through rp] He suffers from anxiety and occasional bouts of PTSD. While he is immortal, his body is capable of taking damage, and while he doesn't notice it as much as the average human, he's got a fair amount of aches and pains throughout his body. He's mostly used to it by now.
Powers
SELF-LEVITATION: Through formal study and practice, he learned the art of self-levitation. Unlike flying, which involves propulsive and ballistic movements, levitation requires the suspension of one's own body against gravity. Though the degree to which he can suspend himself against the force of gravity is limited to about thirty feet -- at which point his powers weaken and gravity draws him back down -- there is, of course, great excitement to be derived from this power. Nyk particularly enjoys standing on people's ceilings as a means of frightening them.
THERIANTHROPY: The ability of a human-bodied entity to transform into an animal. For Nyk, this power is limited to small animals -- ravens, rats, foxes, dogs, and his preferred form, cats -- usually the color black.
SHADOW WALKING: An original power. Whereas self-levitation is not a viable means of getting around, Nyk can transport himself from one location to another through the process of shadow walking. Shadows occupy the space behind non-transparent objects. They exist neither in darkness nor in light, both within the third dimension and an alternate dimension of shadows. By stepping into the shadow cast by an opaque object, Nyk can travel from one shadow to the next anywhere in the world. When entering a shadow, Nyk's body loses its opacity and is rendered transparent. However, within a few minutes of leaving a shadow, his body regains its opacity.
SHADOW MANIPULATION: In addition to serving as a means of transportation, shadows serve another purpose. Like water, he can change their physical state of matter through an act formally known as shadow manipulation. By doing this, shadows can become, engulf, barricade, or affix themselves to objects. During the process of shadow manipulation, Nyk undergoes a series of physical transformations: His pupils dilate as to completely conceal the whites of his eyes, and beginning from the tips of his fingers and spreading outward through the rest of his body, his flesh blackens. These transformations are temporary; his body returns to normal when the manipulative process(es) are complete.
