Lord Adelbard of House Laudessagne is a strapping young man and the second son of Lord Nolarth Laudessagne, who rules the small fiefdom of Upper Sueldey. This lush province is nestled deep in the orchards and vineyards of southern Beauvralde, so while Adelbard is an accomplished swordsman, he has never experienced the true trials of war. At court Adelbard is charming, honorable, and chivalrous--these qualities, combined with his status, make him one of Beauvralde's most eligible bachelors. He seems hesitant to wed, and though he flirts with the ladies at court, naught ever seems to come of it. Rumors abound that he's a eunuch or a pillow biter--or both.
Adelbard is a man generally deemed attractive by those he meets, with a noble jawline and a nose aquiline and unbroken, coming to a neat point. A small cluster of boyish freckles spatter his cheeks, though there are fewer with every passing year. His eyes are dark and brown, slightly almond shaped. His auburn hair falls far past his shoulders, though he typically wears it tied back in a low tail with a length of ribbon. It is mostly straight with a bit of curl to the very tips.

The sigil of House Laudessagne is a rampant white and gold unicorn on a dark blue field, its neck draped with golden roses. Adelbard carries a banner of his house when he travels. From his shoulders hangs a royal blue cloak with a cloth-of-gold lining. On the back is embroidered the sigil of his house.
