    Rictus was born and raised in a high-class trading center in the west known as Glencreek. His parents were either too busy making money or attending parties to care for him as a child, so his general custody fell upon lower Caemorin handmaids and housekeepers. Rictus excelled greatly in magical arts sometimes going so far as to discover new unique spell patterns. His life overall was troubleless and when he became 20 years old, he left Glencreek to seek out adventure armed with his fathers gratuitous inheritence, his mother's vast political connections, and one very big hat.
