• A Man of Control

  In worlds where men can be a gods, and swords can be the beginning or end of life, Avar Torre is a man whose eyes are set on one thing: leading a life in which he is the one wearing the crown. After living a life of constantly clinging to the lowest rung of the ladder--even in the noble circle he once belonged to--Avar took it upon himself to break free from the chains keeping him a slave of others, and he was swept into a blazing mix of freedom and adventure. He left his rich upbringing, and, with nothing but the sword on his back and a past of basic lessons in battle, set off to find his way back to the land of gold and honor, this time, one where he brandished the whip.

  Whether it be gold, silk or jewls, if there is one thing that Avar Torre dreams of, it will be something of monetary value. Growing up in a society where everyone is obsessed with status, some of the negative traits of his peer's influenced his life and longings. One of these things, of course, was the intense feeling of greed he had. It wasn't something he was proud of, for it made it harder to leave his fine house of riches, but like most things about himself, it was something he learned to embrace.

• A Man of Intellect

  The Torres were a long line of men and women who boasted great skill in both sport and academics, and because Avar's father was not one to ruin this, he pushed lessons that would perfect both of these categories onto his son. They were fine lessons, too, taught by a strict instructor in a small room with little distractions. Avar, unfortunately, was rowdy in his youth, and caused too much commotion when it was time for schooling. Luckily, after a few harsh corrections from both his father and teacher, young Avar was too timid to speak out again. It was during the times that he was huddled at his desk, afraid, that his instructor drilled languages, geography, sciences, global competency, history, penmanship and maths into his brain. And, Avar Torre grew to be an educated young man.
