• Description

  The giant creature probably was the epitome of old and grumpy, great form always seeming to be relaxing or reclining. Black scales shimmered dimly with the fires of the Blacksmith furnace, a few tending to show of a redder, warmer glow. He may have been abrasive and hard on many, but he did well to teach others the way of fire and destructive magics. However, he was not always kind, and those tearing scars littered throughout that scaled flesh, bright and unnatural, were an attestment to that.

• Biography

  Before the Treaty of the Dragons, and in Hyorin's youth, he was a frightening and forboding sight amongst many, both elf and orc alike. Rather large for his age at the time (which was roughly 40 years), he exerted his power in the only way he and most other low dragons knew, to slaughter and reign terror on the mortal cities and villages. The initial war between the dragons was primarily caused by the high elves, who were doing heinous alchemical experiments to infant dragons.
  
  Hyorin-Du'um awoke to find his nest being ransacked by Elven hunters, and in a fit of rage and anger, tore them apart and set upon the nearest village in proximity. Preying upon the children first, he was known as the Hyorin-Du'um the Child Eater, and steadily made a horrific and bloody reputation for himself. However, as the war steadily moved south, it was Hyorin and his fighters who were the first to recognize that the southern races held more respect and knowledge for the dragons than he had originally thought. Upon befriending the king of Hreoden and the chief of the orc tribes, he returned to his superiors with the information that it seemed to have been only the elves who held disregard for their lives. Almost immediately a council was made, with Hyorin as a part of it, to discuss with the species for a solution to the altercation.
  
  A treaty was made, and the elves, battered and defeated both physically and diplomatically, were sent with a prohibition to hunt and kill dragons for any purpose.
  
  Within the years, a great peace was known for Hyorin-Du'um, though upon the eve of the first War of the Scourge, he allied himself and his followers to the southern cities, fighting long and hard to protect them from the undead onslaught. He even went so far as to teach the mages larger and more powerful fire spells, so that they would be equally as effective against the hordes. The battles were won swiftly, even against their most dread atronachs, though they were extremely bloody, with many losses on both sides. However, upon the knowledge that the Dead King was slain by a young prince of Helmstrass, the Undead had retreated quickly, marking the end of the first war.
  
  In the next few years, Hyorin grew bored of council life, and had retired to begin his travels throughout the kingdom of Aedas. Moving from Mages College to Mages College,the dragon established a more peaceful name for himself as an adept teacher of most destruction and conjuration magics. However, during one of his flights, he had come claws to swords with a band of unruly slavers, who were quick to decide a victory over a dragon would bring good luck and fortune to them. However, during that fight, he came across a young dragonborn named Ivalkhe Ekaaten, who was only ten at the time. Using his own magic to connect with him, he told the boy of what he was, and in turn, finding out, he turned his sword upon his kinsmen in a feral rage. Afraid as to what powers the dragon held, many of the slavers fled into the woods. Ivalkhe following soon after them after awakening from that feral sleep.
  
  Years later, Hyorin would find Ivalkhe once more, wounded and bloodied from a terrible attack on his village, and in an effort to save the young dragonborn from death, he made a blood pact with him. They had been together, though in secret, since, and soon, both settled in Tayvas.
