    There are three different types of technology in the Divine Realm.
    [Singularity Tech] ⚜ [Ether Tech] ⚜ [Caliber Tech]
    There are pros and cons to each line of tech. Risks and costs.
    The techs can be installed together into a single body, however it causes alot of strain and interference to most non-human races.
    Non-humans tend to stick to one type of tech, either Singularity or Ether tech.
    If your character has Tech installed, they cannot have [Ether Gems] installed.
    A choice must be made between Gems and Tech.
    The Internet of the Divine Realm is called [The Warp].

  • [Singularity Tech] 𖣐

    This is defined as technology that is capable of thinking on it's own.
    Artificial Intelligence that has reached (and exceeded) common-tier IQ.
    It uses the character's nervous system as a highway. It does the thinking for you.
    Installing {ST} directly enhances the user's senses. Higher accuracy. Higher mobility. Poise. It is considered hardware.
    Allows for advanced [Tech: Piloting] rank. Drone control. Ship navigation. This is the choice for melee, physical combatants.
    Singularity Tech is able to access local networks, very short-range and not immersive. The Warp appears as floating 2D screens to {ST} users.
    The biggest risk in installing too much {ST} is that your mind will become Assimilated by the hivemind Singularity AI.
    Let it do too much of your thinking, and you won't be doing any thinking anymore. You will become just another drone.
    {Pros}

    No physical drain.
    Instant {Physicality} buffs.
    Little training required.
    Advanced {Hacking} rank.
    Much tankier, can take much more punishment before being disabled.
    {Cons}

    Cerebral Burnout {CB} risk.
    Assimilation risk.
    Harder to be healed/repaired.

  • [Ether Tech] ꩜

    This is defined as technology that cannot think by itself.
    It thinks via using the brain of the person who has installed it.
    E-Tech is more weapons-based. This is a glass-cannon choice. For long-range fighters.
    It resides in the bloodstream. It feeds on a user's blood in order to function. Requires Ether to be present in the blood.
    Installing {ET} is akin to gaining an entirely new sense. Able to feel and see digital activity all around oneself.
    Allows for advanced {Warping: Tech} rank. Traversing [The Warp] is FAR more immersive for {ET} users.
    Users are able to travel into the virtual environment in a way that feels like actual life.
    The biggest risk in installing too much {ET} is that you will run dry of blood.
    Use an E-Tech weapon too much, and it'll drain you of every drop.
    {Pros}

    Advanced {Firewall} generation.
    Access to {Barriers}.
    Access to {Cloaking}.
    Able to be healed more easily.
    {Cons}

    Lifeforce Fatigue {LF} risk.
    Becoming lost in [The Warp] risk.
    Cannot install [Ether Gems].

  • [Caliber Tech] ☽☾

    This is defined as technology that comes from the Caliber Realm. This is the dimension where Earth IRL is located.
    It is technology that requires user input in order to be used. It cannot be replicated or mass produced.
    There is an unexplained phenomenon in which ONLY humans from the Caliber Realm are able to utilize {CT}
    Humans born within the Divine Realm are incapable of using {CT}, just like everyone else.
    If anyone who is NOT a human from earth attempts to use {CT}, they experience immediate and powerful backlash.
    Even technology as simple as a remote control proves to be too difficult for Divine Realm denizens to handle.
    This is considered the most powerful of the 3 Techs, because nothing resists it. There are no defenses to this tech.
    It is particularly effective against Ethereal people.
    The biggest risk in installing {CT} implants is that it is incredibly difficult to repair or replace.
    The supply of functional {CT} is low. The number of people who can actually USE it is even lower.
    {Pros}

    Extremely powerful weaponry.
    Undetectable by {ST} and {ET} barriers/firewalls autonomously.
    {Cons}

    Difficult to repair/replace.
    MUST be a human from earth to use.
