• Personality

  Immediately striking about Aelisa is the sheer exuberance she exhibits. She is very energetic, very passionate, very spontaneous, and tries her best to stay optimistic in everything she does. When coming across new people, she is quick to open up and call them her friends, and from then on show them ample amounts of kindness and generosity. The possibility of her trusting nature backfiring on her certainly exists, and to the world-weary and cynical types, she might well come across as naïve. Others might deem her childish, for she is certainly not one to embrace responsibility or act entirely mature in all aspects of life. Her messy, overstuffed backpack, for example, reflects her views on order and tidiness, while her blunt flirtatiousness often leads her to overstep personal boundaries. Another facet of her childish nature is her sheer impulsiveness. Averse to conflict and ruled by her emotions, she is liable to make on-the-spot decisions that may not always be wholly thought out, and should she be pushed too far, she is very capable of being both capricious, erratic, and even needy in her behavior.
  
  Perhaps Aelisa's most defining characteristic is her innate and boundless curiosity. Known to pry both where she should and where she should not, the proverb “curiosity killed the cat” certainly has some merit with regard to her. Her outlook on life is very romantic – strangely, too, for one as old as her. Known to daydream when nobody else is around, and even sometimes when somebody is, she can come across as having her head stuck in the clouds. Gifted with a creative drive and having had centuries to practice, it is clear she takes great pride in her sketch work. Usually, she is more than happy to show it off to anyone interested. The other manifestation of her creativity, the harp, is something she seems strangely shy about, however. To those that know Aelisa well, it is clear the draenei has a vulnerable, introspective, and even downright insecure side to her that she tries to mask with her escapist tendencies.

• Mannerisms

  In terms of mannerisms, Aelisa has quite a few distinctive ones:

  • She is very prone to either nodding or shaking her head way more than what is considered normal when she agrees or disagrees with something.
  • She has a habit of nibbling, chewing, or even biting her pouty bottom lip whenever she is deep in thought, embarrassed, nervous, or simply confused.
  • She uses her eyebrows very expressively when talking – arching either one or both to show how she feels about something.
  • When nervous, she likes to keep her hands occupied in some way – either rubbing them against her cheeks, chin, or horns, or by playing with a fluffy lock of hair.
  • An eyelid or cheek twitch may be a way to discern when she is either furious or deeply miserable about something.
  • In general, how active her tail is goes a long way towards gauging her current mood.
