• Knotwork and Runes

  Knotworking - Complex, Celtic designs with various meanings and styles. Daimh has worked on numerous materials (Clays (Both soft and fire hardened such as bricks), Stone, Leather, Metal, Cloth) anything that may accept a knotwork can be worked with his skills. Knotworkings can both be just aesthetic, or practical depending on the nature of the knotwork.
  
  Rune Working - Much like the knotwork he can put runes into just about anything by carving, etching, writing, tattooing, or even sewing them in. Runes are generally not very aesthetically pleasing, but fare more powerful than knotwork in the terms of protection. He has various rates depending upon what is needed, and the size of the items (He has worked on things as big as a mansion to things as small as a coin)
  
  How they work: Runes pull their powers directly from whatever element or energy they're connected to. Thus, they do not have the usual expatriation date an enchantment can have (Some powerful enchantments can last a very long time) and they also cannot be removed by anti-magical means. The only way to interrupt a Rune's working is to marr or erase it some how. Once the form of the rune is broken the link is, and thus it breaks down. Runes are a bunch of small parts working together to make a bigger whole. If one of those small parts fails, then in most cases the whole fails.

• Equipment

  Brigandine - Brigandine is generally small, armor plates riveted into heavy cloth or leather. The small, overlapping plates make for flexible, comparatively light armor that is cheaper and easier to make than most other metal armors such as chain mail, and the like.
  
  A Runed Basket Hilted Claymore - A battered, basket hilted sword witha wide blade that narrows into a sharp point. Runes have been deeply etched into the steel along the flat, pommel, and guards (As well as the basket hilt itself). While it appears to be at least a decade old the item is well kept, oiled and polished.
  
  A Runed Scottish Dirk - May a Scottsman never be found without one. A Dirk that is. This one has been modified much like the sword, and carries numerous runes along the flat. It appears to be much older than the sword.
  
  Targe - A Targe is a small round shield usually made of two layers of wood with the grain laid perpendicular of one another. This increases the strength of the wood. Atop that is usually some sort of leather, or hide that has been studded with bronze or steel. This targe also supports a small shield boss with a long four inch spike. On the back runes have been carefully painted onto it with a dark, rusty substance. The hide stretched over the front appears to be of some sort of reptilian creature.
