Osiris is from a family of warriors that is ages old, counting back centuries into the age of time where wars came and went and only the tribal historians know how to tell the stories. In a culture where a person'sworth is not paired with blood and family, but through trial and courage, so did Osiris' legacy grow. Born to a proven but modest warrior and a dutiful wife, growing up the boy was fourth out of twelve, the first boy out of only two, and spent early days learning the fundamentals of becoming a warrior and catching fish in the small tidal pools near his family's home. It was soon that the tall and lean summer-born boy was already showing keen signs of leadership in his games with the other boys, due in part to his strong body and sure footed movements. His father's influence as a soft but strong man, unable to rise in the ranks among his peers, seemed to strike Osiris at an early age, and he was determined to prove himself as a capable and strong man.

As a youth, the crocodile seemed full of life and spirit, and was soon selected to train young ones and lead small raids on neighboring tribes -- a game they played as a whole, to prove to themselves that their time spent with their women and families, in touch with nature and Her wonders, was a life worth living. A successful raid on a hostile village provided them with four hostages and three warriors that were soon tortured to death; the most beautiful of the hostages was soon adopted by a family in Osiris' tribe. After months of visiting her weekly, offering bounds of flowers and helping her with her daily chores, she placed her bare hand in his and soon after they were married. Two years later, they offered a set of twins to the goddess Hathor, and their joy was well lived.

Years of marriage and children calmed the brute's heart, but a swift fever ran through the village and his wife was then gone. A rogue male, he turned to his work as one of the tribe's top and most fearsome warriors, and his heart grew cold again.
