  The Reincarnation of Hakudoshi

  
  
  As a young kit, Haku Sunesit travelled with his parents all about the realm in a wagon along the trade route, seeing many interesting sites. Both his parents, Typhon Sunesit and Rebecca Talsalin, were rich merchants who went from town to town selling and bargaining their goods, which they dealt alot in the dealings of old and interesting things. It is because of this that Haku had a great interest in travelling and taking in knowledge of the things around him, always seeming interested in things he does not know, or shouldn`t know... until one day that changed his fate. Haku was keeping an eye on the merchant wagon while his parents went out into a town known for its dark dealings and bad repute, but he was sufficient enough in how to use a mace quite well. Several hours had passed until he spotted his parents hurrying to the wagon, holding something wrapped in silk. He wanted to ask what they bought this time, but he was quickly hurried onto the wagon from which they set off onto the trade route quickly once again. For the next few days, he noticed his parents acting a bit skittish and nervous on the journey away from the town, though he was never one to ask too many questions, but simply passed it off on being in questionable territory.
  
  On Haku`s sixteenth birthday, Lenas, the 31st day of Embrace, Solitaire 14, a few weeks after leaving the dark town, he received a birthday present from his parents. It was a pearl white box wrapped in soft silks, some which he knew were expensive to buy from most cities. From the moment he held the box, he could feel himself being strangely drawn towards it.. something that might of been very important to him. Being the very curious type, he quickly opens the box and found something inside that he had never seen before. It was a small crystal orb with a floating round ruby in the center. As he later found out, the crystal orb was actually called a Dragon Orb, and the center was actually crystallized dragon blood. That night the wagon was camped out on the outskirts of a high class city. A bonfire was lit up to ward off any nearby wolves or wandering thieves that would be tempted to sneak onto the wagon, while Haku and his parents stood outside to keep guard. Haku, always being one who wanted to help others, insisted on taking shifts to help guard the wagon at night several years ago, which his parents had agreed. From nightfall to midnight, Haku would always keep watch on the wagon, then through the rest of the night to dawn, his parents would watch the wagon.. though on Haku`s watch, his parents were always keeping an eye on him.
  
  At midnight, he went to bed as his parents took up the usual duty of keeping an eye outside by the bonfire. Ever since he received that Dragon Orb, he was attached to it as if it were a part of his body, carrying it around with him where ever he went. Crawling into bed on the wagon with just his underclothes, he curled around the dragon orb and pulled the blankets over his body, as he felt very comfortable and soothed around the orb. It was a few hours later did he suddenly get awoken from his sleep, feeling something deeply wrong. The air around him was unusually cold so he pulled the blankets tightly around him, carrying the orb at hand underneath. Just as he aroused from the bed, he felt his fur stand up straight against his flesh as a dark robed figure came out from the shadows and stepped forward towards him, the fear quickly awakening him as he stepped back against the bed. He quickly ran to his side to jump out from the wagon, but stopped short with wide eyes as he found two bodies laying just outside the wagon, the light showing their faces contorted in unspeakable ways of horror and pain. He went to jump down but found himself suddenly frozen, a finger pressed to the back of his neck as his body itself became cold as ice and his strength suddenly sapped out of him. He fall forward from the wagon onto the grassy ground in his weakened state and grunted loudly as he landed on the orb on his hand. In a matter of a few seconds, the dark robed figure was down beside the young kitsune who was whining softly, body shivering from both the bone chill and fear. The mysterious robed figure then bent over near Haku as he told the boy of what had happened, about how his parents stole the dragon orb from the dark monastery and interrupted the ceremony of awakening a dark dragon from the Dragon Wars, which Haku had heard stories about. At this moment he knew who this was... a dark cleric.
  
  The robed figure threw back his hood and revealed nothing more than a skeletal head of a lizardman, making Haku`s stomach clench at the sight. The figure then rose above Haku and cackled loudly in a shrilly way, pointing his boney fingers down at the young kitsune as he yelled out a sudden great curse to further torture and sacrifice him in the name of the dark dragon.. but as he finished uttering those words did the prayer seem to backfire on the undead lizardman, making him shrill back in pain. A bright light lit under the blanket wrapped around Haku as the ghoul touch suddenly lifted from his body, and in fact completely rejuvenated him into full awareness, allowing him to quickly stand up from the blankets... for which he was now holding a brightly glowing white orb, cracks slowly peeling over the surface. The great curse didn`t backfire, but in fact it did affect Haku in a way that would seem more like a blessing. The orb lit up so brightly that the whole area was cloaked in pure white, the orb completely disintegrating into thin air as a flow of life and energy filled the air, though soon found that the flow was actually coming from his body, feeling as if something inside himself had awakened... something he was not ready for. The dark undead cleric, being an old and wise one, finally became aware of what just happened and used the rest of his strength to push himself up, the great curse taking more out of him than he intended as he shuffled over towards Haku. When Haku took notice of this he tried to move.. but found himself unable to move again as his body began to burn up, pain lancing through him as he began to take on more energy than his body could handle. The dark cleric pushed his smokey hand out towards Haku as the powerful healing aura around him started sapping the energy away from the dead being. The last thing the young kitsune remembers is the soft chanting of an unknown language and sudden darkness, everything becoming blurry and smeared in his vision as the power that was once flowing out of his body was suddenly sealed inside him, a powerful seal marked on his forehead under that snowy white fur. As minutes rolled by his vision remained blurred and his body fiery hot, finding himself crawling over his parents broken and bloodied bodies. Unsure of what happened, he slowly stood up and started to do the only thing he could. He walked through the dark slowly over towards town, falling down every so often on his way there. It was dawn when he finally made it to the city and walked over towards the gate, being covered in his parent`s blood he collapsed down onto the ground as his body finally gave out on him, the last thing being heard as shouting and the scuffling of feet.
  
  Several years have passed since then as he took up the practices of becoming a holy cleric, and used his knowledge and abilities to help others. This became his new life as he travelled from town to town, being a devoted follower of the Goddess of Light, Lady Amarie, he was always welcomed to many marvelous cities and temples. He sought mainly to increase his vast knowledge and abilities only to further help others, and never used his services to gain wealth. It was only until recent when he arrived in Waygate that he held something deep inside himself, leaking out power and energy to him when the seal was finally wearing off his flesh after ten long years. When the powerful seal finally broke, he found all the answers he wanted suddenly coming to him from the memories of his past life. Haku was the reincarnation of a Sune Dragon named Hakudoshi, a great healing dragon who mysteriously vanished during some period known as the `Dragon Wars`. Over time did the two souls bind together into one, giving Haku the incredible ability to breath dragonfire and an aura that flowed with life and energy, healing and rejuvenated others.
  
  

  Hakudoshi, The Kitsune Dragon

  
  Hakudoshi was a rare type of dragon that was covered in a coat of fur and seemed to have more kitsune appearance than dragon, his skin covered in white scales for extra protection. Unlike most dragons who tend to be aggressive and prideful, Hakudoshi was a passionate dragon who was very kind hearted and believed in the power of light and healing, which his purity and powerful auras were believed to enhance the regeneration of both health and mana, giving him the title `The Great Healing Dragon`. The story behind Hakudoshi tells of a battle between a holy dragon and a dark dragon many, many centuries ago which they went through many battles in regards to keeping the realm safe or corrupting it completely with chaos and darkness. Maybe battles have been fought over but in every exact end, they always ran out of energy or have left the other to live only to fight once again. But there also tells of an ancient story where the dark dragon gained power from a source of darkness that is even unknown today and fortold its use against Hakudoshi the Great White Kitsune Dragon, cursing and sealing him to oblivion some say, or utterly destroying him... or the dark dragon couldn`t help but push him out of the way long enough to spread his goals... no one knows for sure, but with The Great Healing Dragon gone... chaos was said to finally spread through the land as the dark dragon had intended. Not much can be told as this was from many years ago and some information may be lost to the depths of time, or if this tale have ever really happened. This was a brief summary that was recorded as a vague detailing of the great dragon wars, but so light it fails to ever be mentioned. (Documenation found at the old Abandoned Monastery Library)
