Sgt Jasorick Alfred Gunthor

Standing at around 6'2-6'4, Jasorick looks to be an exemplary man of fitness, with a cross between body builder-like proportions and muscles, and the strength and broadness of the world's best strongman.

When working, he wears a special piece of full steel-plate armour that has dragon head decorations for shoulder guards and downward-pointing decoration adorning the rest of his armour. He is also often seen sporting a standard red cape and, sometimes, wears an armet into battle. His weapon of choice for going into battle is a modestly thin, but long Blinding Light greatsword, which is custom made for durability, power, reach & dexterity.

When not working, however, his usual outfit consists of a vibrant dark blue short-sleeved tunic; which does little to hide his stature and build, and grey trousers paired with plain ankle-high leather boots. However, regardless of his chosen outfit, one key item that always remains is his family clan amulet; a Blinding Light artifact featuring a knot circle with the Swordhaven Dragon in the centre. A lone enchanted sapphire adorns the dragon's eye.

Initially, a friendly, warm and jolly gent, Jasorick is banter-loving, cheery, selfless and kind; often taking time out of his own personal issues to help resolve others' problems and having small play sessions with the young children of Swordhaven, whenever he can afford to do so. Despite this, he has often found it difficult with talking to the opposite sex of his age when not joking around with his comrades or talking about work or other relating matters. Often than not, he becomes extremely embarrassed and flustered when talking to a lady, it has been the butt of many of his comrade's jokes.

However, being a guard and a Special Forces operative means that at times he has a no-nonsense approach to some situations and is often quite alert, even when not on shift. As well as this, due to his past, he has shown behaviours known to be linked to PTSD. There are a few times where Jasorick has lashed out at his comrades in rage due to episodes in his mental health; to the point where, often than not, if reminded by his past, Jasorick will start to have flashbacks. He would start to shake and shiver, eventually, he will distance himself from his fellows. If they ignore his attempts to walk away and attempt to cohere him into a calm state incorrectly, they would often be met by blinding rage and shouting. And in worse case scenarios, beaten to near-death by his fists.

Born into the leading family of the legendary clan Gunthor, Jasorick was the youngest of three; his eldest brother, Bevyn, and the eldest of the three, Evelina. His family was, and for the most part, still are, known throughout Lore as keepers of peace and guardians of all that is good and just. Some of their feats in battle have gone down in history as tales of legendary proportions. One example is one of Jasorick's ancestors, who is forever nicknamed "The Bear-King", once single-handedly brought down and slain a dragon with just the power of his ancestors via the amulet and his own two hands.

For 5 years, Jasorick had a very normal and peaceful upbringing. However, upon the night of the celebration of his eldest sisters' achievement, achieving the status of acolyte to Alteon's uprising, the entire clan was decimated and slaughtered by General Mavork and his army of the Shadowsycthe Empire. The only survivor was 5-year-old Jasorick who, with the help and sacrifice of his siblings' lives, managed to escape the former home and hideaway in the family bunker. However, he was soon discovered. Mavork was hell-bent on killing him after spotting the amulet in his pajama pocket, which his sister gave to him to keep safe just before she told Jasorick to run for his life. But Sepulchre, the Emperor of the Shadowscythe Empire who was beside Mavork at the time, instead saw a golden opportunity to utilise the power of the Gunthors' to his own gain; stating that children's minds were more accepting and susceptible to indoctrination. With this, Sepulchre ordered that Jasorick be taken to Sanctus Orphanage, deep in Shadowscythe territory.

It would be here for seven miserable years where young Jasorick would be abused and forced to use dark and evil spells and techniques, unfit for any Gunthor to use and not be disgraced. Making matters worse, no one in the orphanage liked him, save one; a female orphanage worker by the name Kai-Lori. It was Kai-Lori that helped Jasorick cope through the hardship and acted as a mother-like figure for him for 5 years. Unfortunately, she was eventually fired from her position and exiled from the Empire, for her supposed interference to Sepulchre's indoctrination plan. A plan that she, to this day, would still claim to know nothing about and deny all her charges.

At the tail end of the 5 years, the newly crowned King Alteon discovered the possibility of a survivor from the Massacre of the Gunthors residing within Shadowscythe territory. He set out with haste to find this miracle, believing the timing was of the essence as beforehand, no one seemingly survived, save one or two friends of the family. After his 5 years borderline incarceration, King Alteon found him and, with Jasorick unleashing his power unknowingly, escorted him back to Swordhaven. After rousing from his mini coma, caused by the power of the Gunthors, Alteon arranged for Jasorick to be adopted by family friends Adam & Matilda Bryjick, and have Adam and Alteon, himself, train him in the ways of the Gunthors, in place of his family.

I somewhat struggled to find songs to do Jas justice, but eventually, thanks to a close friend of mine called Nikki finding this little gem, I can now say for certain that this first one is his main title song. Enjoy.
