Koren Petiasch

Ilsabard stands north and east of Eorzea, connected to the continent by a land bridge which was taken advantage of by the Garlean Empire during the invasion of Ala Mhigo. Cold and mountainous the young Hrothgar was born a twin and to a close knit family, but in time, coming to fall in love with the world, began to travel once he was of age. After the disaster of the Bozja Citadel many refugees began to flock to the distant villages in order to escape the Garlean incursion. Many villages were razed by Garlean troops in search of members of the resistance which seemed to grow with every passing day.

A Garlean force would arrive at local village that Koren frequented, in search of Resistance members. None occupied their village as they were small and sustained heavily on foraging in the local mountains, leaving them with little for outsiders, but they were always known to treat the injured before sending them on their way, or rescuing travelers lost on their familiar, mountain paths. Koren had come to this village many times in his travels in order to learn their ways, which were unique, in using local mushrooms to heal and feed. Unsatisfied by the village chieftain's recourse to cease tending to those in need, the commanding officer clearly unwilling to risk the villagers saving resistance members, the Garleans attempted to capture the village under the pretense that it was a point of military importance. The members of the village fought back. The chieftain fell in battle along with many sons and the sounds of their mourning howls were the last thing the regimen heard before they were pushed out, what troops that arrived, including a number of vanguard, were pushed off the mountains in their fury.

Knowing their actions would only incite the wrath of more troops the remaining members of the village would have no choice but to leave. Koren would follow them in order to help the injured, but it was mid-winter and being pushed into the depths of the Skatay Range many would starve and more would die of sickness. Koren was only able to keep safe a pregnant woman whom he was able to escort into the hands of a band of Resistance members. Continuing along the borders Koren would eventually arrive in Othard, which was under Garlean rule, and settle in a mountain village where he would continue to learn of the healing arts, eventually taking up the art of animal taming in order to further contend with his surroundings. After much study he learned to speak the tongue of the Far East and eventually, Eorzean, come the arrival of the Alendard Trading Company to Hingan shores.

After the removal of Garlean forces from Doma Koren would travel to Eorzea on the first trade vessel out. He wished to see the world and the treasures it had to offer. Though he was Lost and removed from his queen longer than he could remember: he would not forget her warmth and the memory of having a family, but he could not tie himself down to such a life when there was a whole world to explore.

Koren is a healer by trade, but in his travels through the Skatay Range he has learned to not only study rocks but the speech of man and beast in order to continue to make his home in the most precarious of locales. He has a sense of nature most would have to study dutifully for years in a conclave of conjurers. He was able to do so with years of self reflection and solitude after great tragedy.

Galestrike - A wind based strike that damages target with a slight tick over time.
Windstorm - A wind based strike that damages a target and adds a slight tick over time of additional damage.
Bladestorm - A wind based strike that fills the field with damage, as well as adding a slight tick of additional damage over time.
Guerir- Restores a small amount of health.
Mollese- Cures paralysis caused by magical disruptions.
Antidote- Cures poisons and venom from animal bites or plant compounds.
Benir- Cures magical curses caused by hexes.
Purifier- Cures negative status induced by magic such as repose, heavy, or petrification.
Vie- Regenerates health by stitching minor cuts, healing small bruises, and reducing pain.

Tamer's Aura A feral aura that exudes strength and confidence. This allows him to more easily intimidate animals.
Calm - Calms creatures that have been worked into a Fury or Berserk state with a soft hum and ringing of his bell. Can work on beasts or humans to varying degrees.
Subdue - This allows Koren to lull a creature he has placed under control of his haki. This is necessary for Taming a beast.
Control - Can take command of a beast through the use if haki subjugation: by using a beast's own aether against them he can bend their will to work for him for a short time. Stronger beasts are immune to the subjugation.
Tame - He can tame smaller creatures after subjugating them under his haki and striking an agreement of fellowship.
Bell - Using his bell and depending on the situation or region: he can summon a wild beast to his aide. [see Table*]

When Koren Summons a beast /random is rolled. In the case a 0 is rolled the summoning fails.

Each beast has its own unique attack that does a range of damage depending on the die rolled to summon them. Weak, Strong, Powerful beasts are summoned in that order and do freeform damaged based on that strength.
