• Biography

  Lady Lufia Lamelia is from a lesser house of Kasuria in the Raideth region. The Lamelia family owns holdings near Llydaw and has strong magical blood. Some Lamelias claim that their line is descended from the Primes--Lufia, though a haughty young byrdde in her own right, is not one of them.
  
  Lufia is a six-limbed byrdde, meaning she has wings as well as forearms. Her bones are lightweight and fragile, allowing her the ability to fly, though only when unencumbered. Her face somewhat resembles an oriole's, but her plumage is quite a bit different: mostly yellow and lime green in coloration, mingled with black barring in some places. Two expressive frills of feathers run down the sides of her head, generally sloped back when relaxed, though they tend to stick up and out like a cobra's hood when she's alarmed. Her arms and legs are leathery and black, and host sharp talons.
  
  By her dress, it's obvious that Lufia is of noble descent. She prefers to wear dresses and arcanist's robes of silk and velvet, crafted generally in shades of blue, green, and purple. She favors silver jewelry that matches her staff.
  
  Lufia created her staff with the assistance of her transmutation professor at Eredwyn. Although she never took to transmutation and doesn't know any other spells of the sort, her staff is an exception. Normally the staff is about as long and thick as a man's arm and is made of intricately twisted silver wire with no core. A labradorite crystal the size of a fist is set at one end like an elaborate wire-wrapped pendant. With minimal concentration, Lufia can change the shape of the staff at will. It can never increase or decrease in mass, however. Other common forms for it are a longer, thinner staff for walking, or a fitted glove or bracer shape. The crystal helps her focus her powers.
