Demon Malix Sentry

Created through a mix of Necromancy and Possession. A powerful soul forged through the contract of a demon combined with a desperate father wanting to save his daughter. The deal was a simple one: return her soul, taken by sickness to revive her still-warm body. A cruel, perverted, and selfish demon by an unknown name agreed. He gave the girl a small portion of his immortal soul in turn that when he wishes, girl will become his pet.

She was only 16 when she died, but has lived many more years thereafter. She is, outwardly, a very happy and cheerful lass, but deep down she is lonely and often sought ways to reach her own death. Watching everyone around you die was a peerless life not worth living. To both fill the void and find Death, she turned to Necromancy.

Using these dark arts she would call the undead from their eternal rest so that she would always have someone familiar to speak to. She also hopes that the deeper she drives into the Art of Speaking to the dead, she would find a way to hold herself in Death's embrace.

She was born in a desert country where she has little memory of the people there, but they clearly remember her in her time of life. Her rebirth had forced her to relearn many of the day to day smiling faces of the hard working peoples that struggled in this arid environment. Death was common and struggle much more. Happiness was plentiful because her people, the Bast, did not waste one drop of energy mourning their fate.

By no means does this mean she cannot be killed. Her heart will stop of the injury is grievous enough and healing takes time, sometimes years, but in the end she will heal and be revived until her nameless contract deems her free from her servitude to life.

The Bast are a desert dwelling cat people that excel in the heat and in various forms of hunting, dvination magicks as well as spiritual summoning, which made the girl a perfect avatar for dark summoning upon her revival. The Bast live for up to forty years and are said to be a type of nekomata because after a certain year of life their tails split into two. Bast that are powerful enough tap into their nekomata blood and become immortal. Many of Malix's country believe she has been blessed by the Goddess, but are none the wiser of her curse. Bast typically have sand-brown skin and fur or dark mud-colored skin and fur. Their hair and eye colors are as varied as their mixed bloods as many travelers come through their country, only to be unable to survive alone on the desert travels.

They have sharp senses and are called desert lynxes. Long tails to bobbed tails. Spots or stripes sometimes painted the fur of these traveled people. Their country was a hub of trade as the goods that came from the desert were as rare as the goods that went into it. The Bast were a friendly and kind peoples, and easily accepted outsiders, which often left them suffering war or famine from invaders who sought to take advantage of their hospitality.
