Scythe Lotus

• Cath Agar aka Scythe Lotus

  The Cath Agar, or more commonly referred to as the "Scythe Lotus", is a genetically mutated form of vine lotus that requires plenty of water and shaded sunlight.
  
  Seeds must be coated in blood in order to grow, specifically the owners (explained below).
  
  Coloration depends entirely on the owners DNA, blood-type and affinity (or lack there-of) with magics, however all seeds are onyx.
  
  The Scythe Lotus has several unique properties; One of which being all flowers are female, despite the Anthers they do not produce pollen thus rendering them useless outside of pure aesthetics making them great for those with allergies. The most interesting property however is that of incredible healing abilities for the one who's blood gave it life.
  
  Healing effects so far have yet to be tested completely however the following has been confirmed of being cured:

  All healing qualities reside in the mature Lotus' petals which are plucked and ground up, and either used as a salve, or dried into a fine powder. Because the Scythe Lotus needs a hosts blood to survive, all healing qualities are exclusive to that one person and if used on another would yield 0 effect. In light of this, each person needs to start with their very own seed and from the gift of blood the plant grows at a miraculous rate -- Seed to mature flower in just 5 days. Once all petals have been plucked the flower will lose all color, shrivel and die within 3 hours yielding a single new seed in its ovary for harvesting.
  
  Like any lotus, the Scythe Lotus has the ability to regulate the temperature of itself which is reflective of it's hosts magical affinity listed below:

• Scythe Lotus Fusion

  Maru and her elite team of scientists have discovered the Scythe Lotus can actually react in a symbiotic parasitic mannerism if imbedded directly into the flesh of a host. The host will go under major physical (and mental) transformation to where the plant fuses to them on a molecular level, granting abilities that are characteristic of fauna AND flora.

  ● Nutrients can be absorbed via orally or via roots and photosynthesis – To remain perfectly healthy the host must consume nutrients in both forms, however they can live off of just one or the other.
  ● Water is required – This can be ingested orally or via humidity and skin absorption.
  ● Mild telepathy.
  ● Blood, eyes, tongue, gums, lips(rare), claws, bones and petals all glow innately unless the host willingly suppresses this. Glow can not be seen in daylight unless the host is using abilities.
  ● Rapid healing.
  ● Thorns, whips, blades, darts(lethal and non), gas(nonlethal), roots, and spears, are the natural arsenal coupled with magic affinity.
  ● Fresh blood glows and has the consistency of sap which results in near immediate clotting. Once clotted and exposed to the atmosphere blood will lose its glowing quality and fall off once the wound is healed.
